How to empty the dust bin on a Shark 2400WD-series robot

These steps are from the 2400WD-series owner guide; they are not confirmed for every Shark robot.
How to care for the filter and bin
For the 2400WD series, the owner guide recommends cleaning and reinserting the filter after each use for optimal suction. When emptying the bin, tap the filter lightly to remove debris. For a deeper clean, rinse the filter with water once a month, then let it air-dry for up to 24 hours before reinstalling it. Do not use soap or scrub the filter. The guide recommends replacing it once a year for optimal performance.

Remove hair or debris caught in the anti-tangle comb on the back of the bin. Follow your own model’s guide for filter and bin maintenance if you have a different robot.
If your Shark robot’s bin release steps look different
Find the robot’s model number and consult its matching manual or support material rather than forcing the bin. Shark’s official manuals index includes robot guides such as the RV2600WA series, and its support-video index includes RV2600WA-series content. The available model guides do not establish that all Shark robots use the same release button or removal procedure.

When a replacement dust bin is needed
A replacement bin is for a damaged or missing bin, not part of routine emptying. Shark lists self-empty robot dust bin 149K2600WD for AV2610WA, AV2610WACA, RV2600WA, RV2610WA, RV2610WACA, RV2620WD, and RV2620WDCA; the listing says the filter is not included. Check your robot’s exact model and the part’s current availability before purchasing.
