Why does Serval connect security leadership to its automation agents?

Serval presents itself as an enterprise service management company whose automation agents work across customer systems and sensitive workflows. The company’s rationale is that customers need security controls alongside automation capability. Co-founder and CTO Alex McLeod said, “We built Serval on the premise that automation and security have to advance together.” Stewart said, “IT teams want the speed AI promises, but they are not going to hand over their most sensitive systems until they trust it. That trust starts with security.” Both statements appeared in Serval’s announcement and represent the company’s framing.

The appointment establishes who is responsible for the stated security scope, but the announcement does not show measurable changes in security outcomes or confirm which Ensignia technologies have been integrated into Serval.
