A battery’s 700 mAh label does not mean the headphones will deliver 57 hours throughout their life. Rechargeable cells gradually lose capacity through use, storage and age. - Disconnect the battery plug from the main circuit board. Grip the plug or connector as intended rather than pulling the wires. Once disconnected, remove the old battery from its holder.
- Install the replacement battery. Seat it in the holder with the printed arrows oriented upward toward the headband. The battery should sit flat and secure, without pinching the cable.
- Reconnect the plug. Press the connector fully into its socket without forcing it at an angle. A partial connection can prevent charging or operation.
- Close the ear cup and tighten the screws. Refit the acoustic unit, align the screw holes and tighten the four screws evenly. Do not overtighten, which can damage threads or the housing.
- Refit the ear pad. Work around the perimeter until the pad and its retaining edge are seated uniformly.
- Inspect the seal before powering on. Sennheiser’s support guidance says the baffle must sit correctly and there should be no visible gaps between the ear pad and ear cup.
