The 1100W figure is rated microwave output, not power drawn from the electrical supply: the specification sheet separately lists 1500W rated input. These are published specifications, not evidence of measured cooking performance.

Will it fit on your counter?
Published dimensions do not agree. The specification sheet gives 519W × 408D × 315H mm; the instruction manual and retailer listing give 519W × 440D × 315H mm. CHOICE rounds its listed dimensions to 52 × 41 × 32cm. Measure the intended space and check the label or manual for the particular unit rather than relying on a single listing.
CHOICE lists ventilation clearances of 30cm above, 10cm behind and 5cm on each side. Confirm the required clearances in the manual for your unit and leave room for them when checking the bench—not just the oven’s external footprint. The sources also conflict on gross weight: the specification sheet says 17.5kg, while the manual says 17kg, which may matter for delivery or handling.

Turntable size is unsettled
CHOICE lists a 32cm turntable; an Appliances Online retailer Q&A says 340mm (34cm). Since those figures differ, do not assume a particular platter diameter from the model name or retailer answer. If a dish or existing turntable must fit, confirm the diameter on the actual unit before buying.
What the available evidence says about performance
CHOICE identifies the SC-3400MV as a turntable microwave and lists its headline specifications, but its expert rating and detailed cooking, reheating, defrosting and ease-of-use scores are member-only on the accessible listing. That public page therefore does not establish how evenly it cooks, how well it defrosts or whether it merits a recommendation.

Appliances Online shows a 4.5 average customer score from 15 reviews in its snapshot, accessed in 2026. The visible comments date from July–August 2020. One reviewer praised the capacity and ease of use, while noting that time entry was in minutes rather than seconds; another advised checking counter space. These are old, retailer-hosted anecdotes, not controlled testing or evidence of current reliability.

Appliances Online currently marks the SC-3400MV unavailable, and CHOICE labels it discontinued. That does not establish whether every Australian seller has exhausted stock, so check any exact-model listing directly and confirm the condition, warranty and service arrangements before paying. A similarly sized or powered microwave is a different product, not a substitute identity for this Seiki model.

If you are choosing a currently available replacement, compare the details that affect your use rather than matching only the 34L capacity:
- Usable interior capacity and confirmed turntable diameter, especially if you use a large plate or dish.
- External width, depth and height, plus the manufacturer’s required ventilation clearances.
- Rated microwave output and rated input; these figures describe different things.
- Preset menus and manual power-level control, including whether the controls suit how you cook.
- Door and control ergonomics, warranty terms and local service support.
- Independent results for cooking, reheating and defrosting, where those results are publicly available.
Basic troubleshooting and safety
If the oven does not work, the SC-3400MV manual advises checking that it is connected to power and that the door is properly closed. If its listed fixes do not resolve the problem, contact support. The manual’s safety instruction is explicit: “DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE APPLIANCE YOURSELF.”
