Second Stone’s PC demo launches through Steam on October 19, 2026. Developer Skyward Entertainment and publisher Headup have not announced a release date for the full game. The planned launch platforms are Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG.

What kind of game is Second Stone?
Second Stone is a colorful action RPG built around two fully playable parallel worlds. You play Shiren, a young treasure hunter searching for his lost spirit guardian while the Light World and its dangerous mirror, the Shrouded World, approach a collision. Moving between realities is part of both navigation and combat rather than a purely story-driven switch.

Two worlds, different routes
The Light World is presented as the colorful side of the setting, while the Shrouded World is its threatening counterpart. Official descriptions and a Gamescom preview point to interconnected exploration in 3D, platforming challenges and environmental puzzles. The practical question for the demo is how often changing worlds opens a route, alters a puzzle or changes an encounter; the published material confirms the structure but does not quantify how many areas or puzzles it includes.
Real-time combat and movement
Combat is real-time and designed around fast movement, platforming precision and elemental magic. Shiren can fight with weapons, gear and spells while using the environment and the two-world layout to reach new positions. The Gamescom preview specifically noted 3D platforming, two-world exploration and elemental combinations, but also warned that the large number of systems will need to work together cohesively in the finished release.

How character builds work
Manastones
Elemental Manastones can be attached to weapons and equipment to produce different effects. Extra stones can be fused to unlock additional effects, giving players a modular way to tune damage, defenses and utility instead of relying on one fixed equipment path. The available feature description does not list every element, effect or fusion recipe.

Manastones are paired with the Astral Tablet talent tree. This creates a second layer of customization for talents alongside weapon and gear modifications. In practice, the system is intended to let players combine equipment effects, magic and talents into specialized builds; the demo will show how much of the tree and how many stone options are accessible before launch.

Exploration, town activities and repeatable dungeons
Arimaya village
Arimaya serves as the village hub. It is where Shiren can pursue quests and make upgrades between expeditions, giving the broader adventure a place to prepare before returning to the worlds.
Mana Clash
The hub also includes Mana Clash, a dice-card minigame. Its exact rules, progression rewards and whether it is available in the demo have not been detailed publicly.

What the October demo can and cannot confirm
The demo should provide the first hands-on opportunity to judge the feel of movement, the clarity of switching between realities, the usefulness of elemental combinations and the pace of real-time battles. It may also clarify how the Astral Tablet, Manastone fusion, Arimaya and Lost Labyrinths are introduced. However, no authoritative figures are available for player count, sales, price, total runtime or review scores, and the complete game’s release date remains unannounced.

Players who prefer a narrowly focused combat game may find the mix of platforming, puzzles, talents, crafting-like fusion, card play and rogue-like runs unusually broad; whether those parts reinforce one another will be clearer when the demo is released.
