What is the Reims Flex?
CHOICE lists the Reims Flex as an instore-retail spring mattress. Its tested configuration is a double, with a claimed firm feel and a core type described as “Light spring.” The product page does not explain what “Flex” means, so the name alone is not evidence that the mattress is adjustable or has a particular edge-support design.

What did CHOICE rate it?
In “Best and worst deals of the 2026 EOFY sales,” last updated 9 June 2026, CHOICE reported a 67% overall result from its experts and included the Reims Flex among mattresses promoted at 50% off at Snooze. CHOICE wrote: “This Sealy came in towards the bottom of our latest mattress review, getting an overall rating of just 67% from our experts.” It also cautioned that shoppers could probably find a better mattress for less.
The public model page marks the expert rating and detailed results as member-only. Although CHOICE lists test areas including support when new and over time, support for larger and petite sleepers, stability, sagging resistance, breathability, wear resistance, and warmth or coolness, the public sources do not show the scores or explanations for those areas. The 67% aggregate therefore cannot establish that the Reims Flex is uncomfortable, sleeps hot, sags, or suits or fails a particular body type.

The reported sale was an Australian promotion at Snooze in June 2026, not a current quote or confirmation of present stock. CHOICE’s model listing shows AUD $8,599 and AUD $4,200 as the price paid on sale or after bargaining. The listing does not establish when or where those transactions occurred, so treat them as values recorded by CHOICE, not today’s prices. CHOICE’s EOFY article gives the dated promotion and aggregate result.
Is it worth the price?
The public evidence supports caution rather than a definitive verdict on comfort: CHOICE reports a below-the-pack overall result alongside premium listed prices, but keeps the detailed scorecard behind member access. If you have CHOICE access, compare the model’s detailed results with mattresses of similar size and firmness. Without those results, do not infer a particular performance weakness from the overall percentage alone.

For a useful comparison, look at independent results for support when new and over time, stability and partner disturbance, sagging and wear, and temperature or breathability. Then compare the current delivered price and the retailer’s trial, exchange, and removal terms. These are comparison criteria, not established shortcomings of this model.
What to check before buying
- Try the same size and feel. The public test listing is for a double and describes its feel as firm-claimed. If possible, lie on that exact configuration in person; the label alone cannot predict individual comfort.
- Get a current delivered quote. Ask the retailer for the price of the size and firmness you want, including delivery, and compare it with equivalent mattresses. The figures on CHOICE’s listing are not a live quote.
- Get return terms in writing. CHOICE’s model page lists the trial period and free exchange as N/A. That does not establish every retailer’s current policy. Ask about comfort exchanges, fees, exclusions, and delivery or collection costs before paying.
- Verify the warranty and base requirements. The accessible sources do not establish the Australian warranty term, sagging threshold, or claim process for this model. Request the current written terms and confirm what type of base or support is required.
What the public evidence leaves unanswered
The accessible sources do not disclose the materials in the 16 layers or cover, establish specifications for other sizes, provide the detailed CHOICE scorecard, or confirm current stock and pricing. They also do not establish this model’s warranty terms. The CHOICE mattress review and comparison page provides broader coverage, but the public Reims Flex listing still does not reveal its detailed test results.
