Scopa Sweep Demo is a free, single-player Steam demo that turns traditional Italian card capture into a score-chasing roguelike. Play through the end of Table 3, using Scopa sweeps, objectives, patrons and card enhancements to shape each run.
What is Scopa Sweep?
Developed and published by Static Fire Games, Scopa Sweep Demo released on Steam on September 19, 2026. It sets its card battles in a local restaurant, where you face a rival and try to build a high score. The Steam demo listing describes the game as a roguelike take on Scopa, rather than a digital version limited to reproducing the tabletop rules.

How does the gameplay work?
The basic goal is to capture cards from the table. If a play clears all the cards on the table, it earns a Scopa sweep and increases your score multiplier. Completing objectives adds bonuses, giving you reasons to pursue more than just individual captures.

Run-changing rules and challenges
- Patrons affect multipliers and rules.
- Card enhancements modify card rules.
- Boss twists add challenges to a run.
- Objectives award bonuses when completed.
Those systems layer strategic choices onto the capture-and-score foundation. The Steam listing identifies these mechanics but does not provide a full rules tutorial, so players should expect to learn the specific effects in the demo.

Do you need a physical Scopa deck?
No. The Steam demo is a PC game and does not require a tabletop deck. For context, Static Fire Games’ press kit describes traditional Scopa as using a 40-card Italian deck with four suits: Denari, Coppe, Spade and Bastoni. A physical deck is an optional way to explore the tabletop game behind the adaptation, not required hardware or an official tie-in.
