Those headline terms are not yet confirmed by a primary announcement or financing agreement. Sazmining’s published hosting and fee information, however, shows how such a deal would work and which numbers buyers must verify before paying.
What has—and has not—been confirmed
The reported package combines three separate claims: Proto immersion hashboards are available to individual owners, Sazmining will host and operate them, and qualifying buyers can use 0% financing with $1,397 down. The specific announcement, annual percentage rate disclosure, eligibility geography, repayment schedule and product bundle were not available in the published material reviewed for this article.

That means the down payment and “0%” label should be treated as promotional claims, not established contract terms. A genuine 0% offer can still include origination charges, required deposits, late-payment penalties, insurance, shipping or a restricted customer region. Buyers should obtain the complete finance agreement and confirm that hardware ownership transfers at the point promised.

Sazmining describes hosted mining as a model in which the customer buys and owns the physical mining rig while Sazmining runs it in a professional data center. The host supplies power, cooling, maintenance and operational support, while mining payouts are sent according to the customer’s account and pool arrangement.

Ownership is different from buying a cloud-mining contract. The customer should receive a serialised machine or identifiable hashboards, a purchase invoice and terms covering removal or transfer. Sazmining’s store materials also describe a rig-performance guarantee and first-year repair coverage, but the exact coverage for an immersion-hashboard package still needs to be stated in writing.
Fees that determine the real return
Sazmining says its management fee is 15% of the pool payout, taken in satoshis, and that this is its only source of revenue. A current Proto Rig 819 hosted listing displays a different configuration: 20% management, a 2% pool fee and electricity priced at $0.070 per kilowatt-hour for a 365-day plan. The difference may reflect a product, contract or promotion distinction, so a buyer should not assume the general 15% figure applies to the Proto offer.

What the Proto Rig 819 figures indicate
The Proto Rig 819 listing gives a reference point for the economics, not a guarantee for the proposed immersion package:
- Hashrate: 819 TH/s.
- Power draw: 12,000 watts.
- Hardware price: $1,450.
- Electricity rate: $0.070/kWh.
- Management fee: 20%.
- Pool fee: 2%.
- Displayed net estimate: $4.63 per day on a 365-day plan.
At 12 kW, the machine uses 288 kWh in 24 hours. At the listed electricity rate, that is $20.16 per day before management, pool fees and any other charges. The displayed $4.63 net figure is an estimate that changes with Bitcoin’s price, network difficulty, transaction conditions, uptime and the machine’s actual efficiency. It should not be multiplied across a financing term as though it were fixed income.

Why immersion cooling changes the purchase decision
Immersion systems place mining electronics in a non-conductive cooling fluid rather than relying only on room air. That can reduce the dependence on high-volume airflow and may make heat management more consistent, but it adds equipment and operating requirements: a tank, fluid, pumps or circulation hardware, heat rejection and procedures for draining or servicing the system.
The key unanswered question is whether the advertised package includes those items or only the hashboards. If the customer owns boards but the host owns the tank and fluid system, the contract should explain what happens if the boards are moved, upgraded or removed. Warranty terms should also identify which failures are covered and whether using a third-party immersion setup voids protection.

Proto’s modular design and upgrade expectations
Proto’s official documentation describes the Proto-MDK as containing three hashboards, one control board and a 16GB microSD card. Block’s November 19, 2025 Investor Day transcript described Proto as modular and durable, allowing operators to buy hashboards instead of replacing an entire fleet at each upgrade cycle.
That modularity is useful only if the owner can actually purchase compatible replacement boards, obtain firmware support and pay a transparent installation fee. “Upgradeable” does not guarantee that a future board will fit the same immersion tank, deliver a profitable efficiency gain or remain supported throughout a finance term.

Questions to answer before signing
- Request the original offer document naming the exact Proto model, number of hashboards, control hardware and included immersion equipment.
- Confirm the cash price, down payment, financed balance, payment count, total amount paid and every fee. Ask for the finance agreement’s APR and late-payment terms even if the headline says 0%.
- Get the hosting term, electricity rate, management fee, pool fee, taxes, repair coverage and uptime remedy in one schedule.
- Verify who controls the mining-pool account and where payouts are sent if the hosting contract ends.
- Ask how to exit: transfer ownership, ship the hardware elsewhere, sell it, or terminate early. Check removal, packing and freight charges.
- Obtain the hashboard serial numbers and confirm when legal title passes to you.
- Model returns under several Bitcoin prices, network difficulties and uptime assumptions rather than using the displayed daily estimate alone.
Buy a hosted miner or buy Bitcoin?
A hosted miner gives the customer a physical asset and exposure to mining economics, but it also creates financing obligations, equipment risk, fee risk and dependence on the host’s facility. Buying Bitcoin avoids power, cooling and maintenance responsibilities but does not provide a machine that can be moved or resold. The better choice depends on whether the buyer wants operational exposure and accepts variable output, rather than on the $1,397 figure by itself.
Bottom line on the reported offer
The Sazmining-Proto concept fits an established hosted-mining model: the customer owns hardware while a specialist operates it. The Proto references show meaningful hashrate and a modular design, but the 0% financing, $1,397 down payment and individual-owner immersion bundle remain unconfirmed terms. Until a primary announcement and complete agreement are available, treat the offer as a proposal to investigate—not a guaranteed bargain or a guaranteed mining return.
