The Saucony Triumph 24 looks like a better fit for runners who want a cushioned shoe for easy, steady and long runs than for those shopping for a speedwork shoe. In a Tom’s Guide review published September 13, 2026, Nick Harris-Fry reported running about 40 miles in it over several weeks of marathon training, including easy runs, a progression run and a 15-mile long run. He found its new IncrediLUX midsole livelier than the foam in the Triumph 22 and 23, while still delivering a traditional daily-trainer feel. That is one reviewer’s assessment, not a guarantee of how it will feel for every runner.
What changed in the Triumph 24?
Tom’s Guide identifies the IncrediLUX midsole as the main update. It replaces the PWRRUN PB foam used in the Triumph 22 and 23. In his runs, Harris-Fry found the Triumph 24 livelier than those predecessors, but not transformed into a dedicated fast shoe: he describes it as a balanced, cushioned daily trainer with enough energy return for easy and steady running and less appeal for speedwork. How it is built and how it fit the reviewer
The review describes a mesh upper with padding around the tongue and collar, plus an internal heel counter. XT-900 carbon rubber covers the forefoot and heel, with the midfoot exposed. Harris-Fry says the shoe fit him in his usual running-shoe size and that he had no grip problems during his test. These observations do not establish a fit guarantee, a controlled grip result or long-term outsole durability.

Tom’s Guide reports a 43 mm heel stack, 33 mm forefoot stack and 10 mm drop. Its reviewer’s pair weighed 9.6 oz in a US men’s size 10. A separate 2026 review lists the same stack and drop, with reference weights of 8.8 oz for men’s size 9 and 7.6 oz for women’s size 8; weight comparisons need to account for the different shoe sizes. Tom’s Guide reports a June 2026 launch at $170 in the United States and £170 in the United Kingdom, a $10 increase over the Triumph 23. Those are launch prices, not a statement of current pricing. The review says regular, wide and GTX versions are offered, but colors and availability vary by version; check the product listing for your market before buying.
Is it right for your kind of running?
Choose it for cushioned daily and long runs
The reviewer’s strongest case for the Triumph 24 is easy, steady, recovery and long training runs. His test included a 15-mile long run, but that single outing does not predict comfort or performance for every runner or distance. Consider it if you want a conventional cushioned trainer and do not need one shoe to prioritize fast sessions.

Look elsewhere if speed, bounce or a different ride is the priority
Harris-Fry says the Triumph 24 is not an ideal speedwork shoe. In his comparison, the Nike Vomero Plus feels bouncier, the Hoka Clifton Pro has a more smoothly rockered transition, and the ASICS Novablast 6 is lighter, cheaper and more versatile. These are his comparative impressions, not measurements from a standardized head-to-head test. If you want a stability-oriented option, he points to the Saucony Hurricane 26 for runners seeking more support. The review does not establish that any of these models suits a particular gait or foot shape, or that cushioning prevents injury.

The mileage refers to one reviewer’s use over a few weeks and a limited mix of training sessions. It is useful evidence of how the shoe felt to that runner in those conditions, but it is not a broad durability study, a population-level finding or a substitute for trying the fit yourself. In particular, the review’s positive grip note should not be read as a claim about every surface or weather condition.
