Saucony describes the rubber as intended to provide traction and wear resistance; that is product copy rather than a comparative durability test. RTINGS bought and tested a men’s US size 9 in White/Tranquil. Its reported measurements differ from Saucony’s published dimensions, so keep the figures separate: shoe size and measurement methods affect comparisons.

RTINGS praised stability and forefoot room, but found the shoe heavy. It rated daily training more favorably than half- or full-marathon racing, and reported that cushioning felt less shock-absorbent after the first 10K. That distance-related observation belongs to RTINGS’ review; it is not a universal cutoff or a guarantee of how the shoe will feel for an individual runner.

How should you choose a size?
Saucony advises sizing up from a usual lifestyle-shoe size for performance shoes. RTINGS, based on its tested men’s pair, found the shoe remarkably true to size and reported good forefoot width. These recommendations use different reference points, so they do not necessarily conflict: a lifestyle shoe and a running shoe may fit differently, and one tested size cannot establish fit for every foot.
- Start with your normal running-shoe size rather than automatically sizing up from a lifestyle shoe.
- If you can, try that size and a nearby size, checking toe room and whether the shoe feels secure through the midfoot and heel.
