1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe Saucony Endorphin Elite 3 is a premium, plated race-day shoe built around a notably soft, springy ride. That cushioning may appeal to runners seeking comfort over marathon-distance efforts, but the tradeoffs reported by reviewers include less confidence in fast turns, a snug fit that may run short, and concerns about weight and wet grip. Saucony lists it at $290 USD; whether that price makes sense depends on how well its ride and fit suit you.
What the Endorphin Elite 3 is designed to do
Saucony categorizes the Elite 3 as a plated race-day shoe and lists it at $290 USD on its product page. The company says it combines IncrediRUN foam with a new slotted carbon-fiber plate. Saucony also says it changed the midsole geometry in response to runner feedback to add midfoot stability.

Saucony chief product officer Brian Moore called it “our most efficient racing shoe to date.” That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not an independently established performance result. The available product information does not provide a comparative test proving that the shoe makes runners faster or more efficient.

A soft, springy ride for longer efforts
Tom’s Guide’s 2026 reviewer describes an unusually soft, sink-and-bounce sensation, finding the shoe fun at speed and comfortable for marathons and hard long runs. That experience is one reviewer’s, not a guarantee that every runner will find the cushioning comfortable or helpful.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Turning and shorter runs are the main cautions
The same reviewer says the softness calls for care through turns and is less suited to short runs. Runners who make frequent sharp turns, or who want a more planted feel, may prefer a firmer or more stable racer. Saucony says the redesigned geometry is intended to improve midfoot stability, but that design goal does not erase the handling concern reported by the reviewer.
Tom’s Guide also flags weight and wet grip as drawbacks. Those observations are useful considerations, but they do not establish how the shoe will perform for every runner, surface, or weather condition.

Weight and geometry: measurements vary by tester
These figures come from different reviewers and samples, so they should not be treated as one settled specification. In particular, the weight reports refer to different stated bases: Tom’s Guide gives a men’s US size 10, while RTINGS reports its test sample.
| Source | Reported weight | Reported stack and drop |
|---|---|---|
| Tom’s Guide (2026) | 7.9 oz for a men’s US size 10 | |
| RTINGS (2026) | 213.2 g (7.52 oz) for its sample | 40.2 mm heel stack; 32.2 mm forefoot stack; 8.0 mm drop |
| RunRepeat (2026) | 39.8 mm heel stack; 34.1 mm forefoot stack; 5.7 mm drop |
The discrepancies mean these are best read as tester-reported measurements, not as a single consensus value. If exact dimensions matter to your decision, consult the measurement method and sample details on the respective review pages.

Fit and sizing: check length before a race
RTINGS describes the fit as snug and reports that the shoe runs short in length. Its reviewer suggests considering a half size up, especially for marathon distance. RTINGS also notes a relatively accommodating forefoot alongside a narrower arch. These are reviewer observations rather than a replacement for trying the shoe on or consulting Saucony’s current size guidance.
- Check that your toes have enough room when standing and during a running movement, not just while seated.
- Assess the arch and midfoot hold as well as forefoot width; a roomier forefoot does not necessarily mean a roomy fit throughout.
- If ordering online, confirm the seller’s current sizing, return, and exchange terms before committing to race-day use.
How it compares with the Saucony Endorphin Pro 5
Tom’s Guide describes the Endorphin Pro 5 as a $240 plated racer that is more stable than the Elite 3 and does not use the Elite 3’s IncrediRUN foam. Those price and stability comparisons are the reviewer’s account, and the price should be checked against current listings. The Pro 5 is a relevant alternative to investigate if you want a more stable-feeling Saucony racer; try both if possible rather than treating a reviewer’s ride impression as universal.
