Kotaku reported on October 6, 2026, that a Saturndock Nintendo Switch 2 charger was on sale for $15, down from $17. That price and the deal item’s specifications have not been independently confirmed as current. More importantly, the available product information is inconsistent: Kotaku describes a 60W charger that supports Switch 2 docked mode, while an accessible Saturndock page describes a 45W model that does not. Check the exact model and its TV dock-mode support before buying.
What the reported Prime Big Deal Days offer says
Kotaku’s October 6, 2026 article identifies the deal item as a Saturndock Nintendo Switch 2 charger and reports a $15 price, reduced from $17. It describes a detachable five-foot cable, 60W output, and support for Switch 2 docked mode. Those are claims in the dated article, not independently verified details from a live retailer listing. The current price and availability are therefore unknown.

Why the exact model matters for Switch 2 dock use
Directly charging a console and powering a dock for TV play are different requirements. Nintendo says the original Switch AC adapter can charge Switch 2 when connected directly, but cannot power Switch 2 in TV mode because its power output differs. This may not be the same model described by Kotaku; its 45W rating should not be combined with Kotaku’s 60W claim.
What to verify before buying
- Exact model or SKU: Confirm that the retailer listing is for the same charger described in the deal, rather than another Saturndock model.
- Switch 2 TV dock-mode support: Look for an explicit statement that it powers the Switch 2 dock for TV play. Compatibility with Switch 2 for direct charging does not establish dock support.
- Output rating: Check the wattage and output details on the exact listing. The available sources describe different ratings—60W in Kotaku’s article and 45W on the accessible Saturndock page.
- Cable and device fit: Verify the detachable cable, its stated length, and support for the specific handhelds you own.
- Price and availability: Treat $15 as the price reported on October 6, 2026, not a confirmed live offer.
Brand-level claims are not enough here: the accessible product page and the deal article describe materially different dock-mode support. If the retailer listing does not clearly identify the model and state that Switch 2 TV dock mode is supported, do not rely on it to power the dock.
