The unverified list names the Galaxy Z Flip 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z TriFold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and Galaxy Z Slide.
That is a leak-based possibility, not a Samsung announcement. Earlier reports described a different five- or six-device mix centered on two wide-format foldables, while the newest report supplies no specifications for the Fold 9 Pro or Z Slide. Prices, launch dates, regions and even the final model count remain unknown.

What the reported six-device lineup includes
Android Authority describes TheGalox claim as unverified. The source gives names, but not a confirmed Samsung roadmap or technical specifications. The six reported devices are:
| Reported model | What is established |
|---|---|
| Galaxy Z Flip 9 | Named in the October 15, 2026 leak; specifications, price and launch timing are not stated. |
| Galaxy Z Fold 9 | Named in the leak and in earlier roadmap reports; specifications, price and launch timing are not stated. |
| Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra | Named in the leak and earlier reports; specifications, price and launch timing are not stated. |
| Galaxy Z TriFold 2 | Presented as a possible successor to Samsung’s first TriFold generation; commercial details are unconfirmed. |
| Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro | One of the two newly named surprises; TheGalox report provides no specifications. |
| Galaxy Z Slide | The other newly named surprise; the report provides no specifications and does not establish a retail launch. |
The two names that most change the conversation are Galaxy Z Fold 9 Pro and Galaxy Z Slide. Their appearance in one tip does not independently verify either product, and it does not show whether they correspond to models described anonymously in earlier reporting.

Why the “six phones” count is still unsettled
Earlier six-device scenario
ETNews-based coverage previously described up to six devices as a regular Fold, a Fold Ultra, a Flip, a TriFold successor and two wide-format foldables. That scenario did not use the names Fold 9 Pro and Z Slide.
Earlier five-device scenario
A separate ETNews report summarized by SamMobile described five products: Galaxy Z Fold 9, Galaxy Z Fold 9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 9, Galaxy Z TriFold 2 and an unnamed second wide-format foldable.
The newer claim therefore adds two explicit names but does not independently confirm the earlier unnamed wide-format model. The safest reading is that Samsung may be evaluating several form factors and that different leaks are counting overlapping concepts differently. Until Samsung publishes a product announcement, “six” should be treated as one scenario rather than a confirmed lineup.

What Samsung has officially confirmed
Samsung’s public history supports continued investment in foldables, but not any 2027 model list. The company unveiled its Infinity Flex Display in 2018, brought the first Galaxy Fold to market in 2019 and introduced Galaxy Z Flip in early 2020.
Tarik Akad, Head of Mobile at Samsung Electronics Canada, said: “Our job has always been to make the foldable technology feel more natural, more intuitive and more useful.” That statement indicates an ongoing product direction; it confirms no 2027 names, number of devices, specifications, prices or release schedule.
What the rumored wide-format foldables could solve
HardwareZone reported that one rumored wide-format phone may target widescreen video. A squarer, 4:3-style inner display can leave black bars when showing YouTube or Netflix content produced for a wider aspect ratio. A broader panel could make video occupy more of the screen, although the report did not explain how the two rumored wide models would differ.

That distinction matters more than a model-number change: buyers would need to know whether a device prioritizes video, multitasking, pen input or compact carrying size. None of those trade-offs has been specified for the rumored 2027 phones.
TriFold 2 and the slideable-phone background
Possible TriFold successor
A March 2026 9to5Google report, attributed to a Naver leaker, placed a possible TriFold successor in mid-2027. The report described a design that could be lighter but somewhat thicker than its predecessor. Those are leak claims, not confirmed measurements or final engineering specifications.
Possible slideable phone
The same report associated a slideable phone with late 2027 or 2028 and suggested an expanded screen of about seven inches. Separately, Samsung Display demonstrated a Mobile Slidable concept at MWC 2026 that expanded from 5.1 to 6.7 inches. A display demonstration shows what the panel technology can do; it does not confirm a commercial Galaxy Z Slide, its durability, software, price or launch market.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What remains unknown about every 2027 model
- No source establishes final specifications for the Fold 9 Pro or Z Slide.
- Prices and whether any launch price would be recurring or promotional have not been reported.
- Samsung has not announced launch dates, sales regions or carrier availability.
- There is no confirmed information about camera hardware, battery capacity, charging, hinge design, water or dust resistance, thickness, weight or software-support policy.
- The relationship between the named Fold 9 Pro, Z Slide and the anonymously reported wide-format devices is unresolved.
Those gaps prevent a meaningful performance or value ranking. A larger screen alone does not establish better battery life, durability or productivity.
Should you buy a Galaxy Z Fold8 or wait?
Buy the current generation when
- You need a foldable now and can evaluate the current device’s weight, crease, cameras, battery and software in person.
- Your purchase decision depends on a confirmed price and warranty rather than an unannounced future model.
- You are comfortable choosing among products that are actually available in your region.
Wait when
- You specifically want a wider video-friendly display, a TriFold design or a sliding mechanism.
- You can tolerate an uncertain timeline extending into 2027 or possibly 2028.
- You want to compare the Fold 9 Pro and Z Slide only after Samsung publishes complete specifications and availability.
If you are considering a Galaxy Z Fold8, verify case and accessory compatibility for that exact model and region. Do not buy on the assumption that a rumored 2027 hinge, screen size or accessory standard will match it.

Once official specifications exist, compare the lineup in this order:
- Form factor: conventional book fold, clamshell, TriFold, wide-format panel or sliding screen.
- Screen use: aspect ratio for video, multitasking space, crease visibility and one-handed operation.
- Portability: folded thickness, weight and hinge durability.
- Core hardware: cameras, processor, battery capacity, charging and thermal performance.
- Software: multitasking features, app support, stylus functions and update commitment.
- Ownership terms: price, repair policy, warranty, launch geography and carrier support.
For now, only the broad form-factor and rumored timing distinctions are supported. A six-device 2027 Galaxy Z range is plausible enough to watch, but it is not yet a product announcement or a buying specification sheet.
