The low-price claim is about Samsung’s 48-inch S85H, its entry-level 2026 OLED—not the entire Samsung OLED range. Tom’s Guide listed it at Amazon for $997 in October 2026. The $997.99 Sam’s Club price tied to the headline came from a listing whose instant-savings offer had ended August 30, so it should not be treated as a verified live deal.
Which Samsung OLED TV is behind the low price?
It is the 48-inch Samsung S85H. Samsung announced three OLED tiers for 2026: the S85H, S90H and S95H. The S85H is the entry-level model; the S90H is mid-range and the S95H is the flagship, according to Tom’s Guide’s deal coverage.

The $997.99 figure traces to a Sam’s Club search result for the 48-inch S85H, reduced from $1,197.99. But the opened retailer page showed that its instant-savings offer ended August 30. That price therefore explains the headline wording, not a confirmed October offer. Tom’s Guide’s October coverage instead listed Amazon at $997, down from $1,097.
How does the 48-inch S85H compare with the other 2026 tiers?
| Model | Tier | Size and US launch price | Screen finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| S85H | Entry-level | 48-inch: $1,199.99 | Glossy |
| S90H | Mid-range | 42-inch: $1,399.99 | Glare-free, per Tom’s Guide |
| S95H | Flagship | 55-inch: $2,499.99 | Glare-free, per Tom’s Guide |
Samsung’s prices in the table are US launch prices, not current retailer offers. The sizes shown are the specific configurations cited in Samsung’s launch information; they are not a complete size-by-size lineup or a same-size price comparison. Tom’s Guide describes the S90H and S95H as having Samsung’s glare-free display, while the S85H has a glossy screen. If reflections are a concern in your room, consider that difference alongside the price and screen size.

Is the $997 or $997.99 offer still available?
The available October coverage supports an Amazon listing of $997, but retailer prices and stock change. It does not establish that the Sam’s Club $997.99 offer remains active; the page opened for that listing showed an August 30 end date. Check the current price, seller and stock on the retailer’s own page before buying. The available sources do not establish that either price is the S85H’s historical low.

- Confirm the model and size. Check that the listing is for the 48-inch S85H, rather than another 2026 Samsung OLED model or size.
- Verify the live offer. Open the retailer listing and confirm the displayed price, seller, stock and any stated promotion end date.
- Compare retailers. Tom’s Guide recommends checking Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy; no single retailer is always the cheapest.
- Weigh screen finish against savings. The S85H’s glossy display may be less suitable for a room with troublesome reflections than the glare-free screens described for the S90H and S95H.
Samsung’s US launch prices are useful context, but they are not proof that a current listing is a good deal. Compare the exact model and size, and make the decision using the price and availability shown at checkout.
