CHOICE records a 2018 test year, but its public page does not expose the scores needed to judge how well the machine performs.
What the WD75M4453JW is
This is a front-load washer-dryer combo, model WD75M4453JW, also identified in Australia as WD75M4453JW/SA. Samsung Australia’s support page describes it as a “7.5kg/4kg Washer Dryer Combo.” The specification sheet lists a white body, Crystal Gloss door, Graphic LED control panel and Digital Inverter Motor. CHOICE identifies the dryer type as condenser.

The model launched in October 2017, according to Samsung’s specification sheet. Treat it as an older model rather than assuming it is a current product; present-day stock, condition and regional compatibility depend on the specific seller and unit.

The separate capacity ratings matter: the machine is specified for loads up to 7.5 kg when washing and 4 kg when drying. A load that fits the washer’s rated capacity may exceed the dryer’s rated capacity, so a full wash load may need to be split before drying.

Samsung lists Air Wash, Bubble Soak, Drum Clean, Cotton Dry, Synthetics Dry, Daily Wash, Cotton, Synthetics, Wool, Baby Care, Rinse + Spin, Delay End, Smart Check, Aqua Hose, a leakage sensor, child lock, Diamond Drum and StayClean Drawer. The sheet counts 12 cycles. These descriptions establish which functions were advertised, not their effectiveness or suitability for a particular fabric or soil level.
Samsung’s 2017 sheet says Smart Check requires the Samsung Smart Washer app on a compatible smartphone and an internet connection, and notes that data charges may apply. Because that is historical app guidance, verify current app and phone compatibility before relying on it.
What is known about performance
CHOICE’s listing records a 2018 test year, but most of its test results are behind membership. The accessible page does not establish a public washing score, drying score, noise result or independent cycle-time result. It is therefore not possible to give this model a substantiated performance verdict from that public record.

The 59-minute Wash+Dry figure comes from Samsung’s specification sheet, not an independently reported test. It should not be treated as evidence that a normal load will be fully washed and dried in that time.
Energy and water figures differ by source
The published energy figures are not identical across sources, so they should not be combined or silently reduced to a single value. Samsung’s 2017 sheet gives annual washing energy as 292 kWh and annual drying energy as 166 kWh. CHOICE lists 288 kWh/year for the washer and 166 kWh/year for the dryer on a page that records a 2018 test year.

These are figures published by the respective sources, not new measurements. The pages do not establish that every figure was measured under the same conditions, so use care when comparing them with another appliance’s label or test results.

Check the dimensions against the installation space
The listed depth conflicts. Samsung’s specification sheet gives 600 × 850 × 675 mm (W × H × D), while CHOICE lists 85 × 60 × 60 cm (H × W × D). The discrepancy is material for a machine that must fit into a fixed recess, and neither listing should be used as a substitute for checking the actual unit and installation requirements.
- Measure the available width, height and depth, allowing for hoses, connections and any clearance required by the manual.
- Confirm the dimensions against the manual or the particular unit before buying or arranging installation.
- Samsung’s specification sheet lists a weight of 72 kg.
Warranty wording and ownership support
Samsung’s 2017 sheet advertises an “11 Year Parts Warranty” for the Digital Inverter Motor. It does not establish an 11-year warranty for the entire appliance. Warranty terms can depend on the applicable region, date and conditions, so check the warranty documentation that applies to the specific purchase.
Samsung Australia’s WD75M4453JW/SA support page links a manual dated 10 August 2017 and service-centre lookup information. Its listed support topics include cleaning the pump filter, emergency draining a front-load washer, using Delay End and cleaning the water-hose mesh filter. These are maintenance and service instructions, not evidence that the model has a specific defect. The support page does not establish current local service availability, repair prices or compatible replacement-part numbers.
Who should consider this model?
The published specification may be relevant if you specifically need one appliance that can wash and dry, can work within the 7.5 kg wash and 4 kg dry capacities, and have confirmed the unit’s physical fit. The available public performance information is insufficient to recommend it on cleaning, drying, quietness or overall efficiency versus other models.
Before buying a used or remaining-stock unit, verify its condition, complete model code, actual dimensions, included documentation, warranty coverage and local service options. Compare any alternative on separate wash and dry capacities, dryer type, independently verified performance, complete wash-and-dry time, energy and water figures on a comparable basis, installation depth and warranty terms.
