Which Samsung TVs support AirPlay?
Samsung’s UK support list begins with selected 2018 TVs and monitors and names supported families through 2021. Samsung Singapore and Germany publish lists that extend to later model years, including selected 2022 and 2023 families. These are regional lists, not a single worldwide guarantee for every TV in a named series.

Samsung Singapore’s list includes selected 2023 Neo QLED 8K and 4K, Frame, OLED, and QLED models; its 2022 coverage includes QLED and OLED, Frame, Sero, Serif, and other listed devices. Germany’s list gives a different regional breakdown, with examples such as 2023 QLED/Neo QLED, OLED, CU, and lifestyle models, and specified 2022 QLED/Neo QLED, OLED, BU, and lifestyle models. Check the applicable country list rather than treating a series name as universal confirmation: Samsung UK’s AirPlay model list, Samsung Singapore’s AirPlay model list, and Samsung Germany’s AirPlay model list.

How to verify a specific TV before buying
- Find the full model code. Use the exact code in the retailer listing or on the product label, not just a broad name such as “QLED” or “The Frame.” Match it to Samsung’s support information for the country where the set is sold. Regional lists differ, and family-level descriptions may not establish compatibility for every individual SKU.
- Check the AirPlay menu on the TV if possible. Samsung’s path is Settings or All Settings > General (or Connection on some 2022–2023 TVs) > Apple AirPlay Settings. Labels can vary by model and software. Samsung states: “If there is no option for AirPlay, then your device is not supported.” Samsung UK support.
- Check the feature you intend to use. Samsung describes AirPlay 2 as a way to send photos, videos, music, and other content from Apple devices. For iOS screen mirroring, Samsung’s U.S. instructions use Control Center > Screen Mirroring, followed by selecting the TV and entering a code if prompted. App-specific playback can differ, so verify the workflow you need rather than assuming every app behaves identically. Samsung U.S. connection instructions.
Feature-specific caveats
- Multiview mirroring on 2020 TVs: Samsung Germany says this screen-mirroring feature is available only on Q70T and above. This is a specific Multiview limitation, not a general statement that other supported models lack AirPlay.
- Evolution Kits: Samsung Singapore says Evolution Kits do not add AirPlay 2 or Apple TV functionality.
- 2018 models: Some selected 2018 TVs received AirPlay 2 through a firmware update after launch; a listed family alone may not tell you whether a used or older set has the necessary software installed.
- Apple software requirements: Samsung Australia’s 2019 announcement listed iOS 12.2 or later and Mac OS 10.14.4 or later at that time. Those are historical launch requirements, not a complete current compatibility matrix. Samsung Australia’s 2019 announcement.
What to do if the TV does not appear
First check that Apple AirPlay is enabled in the TV’s AirPlay settings. Samsung Singapore’s controls include turning AirPlay on or off, requiring a connection code on first connection or every connection, resetting paired devices, and adjusting subtitle and caption settings. Then use the connection steps for your Apple device; for iOS, open Control Center and select Screen Mirroring. If the menu is absent, Samsung’s stated guidance is that the device is not supported.
Do not use the Apple TV app as a proxy for AirPlay compatibility. Samsung treats the app and AirPlay as separate TV features; having the app does not establish that the TV supports AirPlay. Samsung’s Apple TV app troubleshooting page.

How to compare two candidate Samsung TVs
- Compare each TV’s full regional model code against Samsung’s local AirPlay support list.
- Confirm the model year and series against the listed family, then use the on-device menu as a further check when available.
- Check that the specific use—such as screen mirroring or sending media from an Apple device—matches what you need, including any feature-specific limitations.
AirPlay compatibility alone does not establish a TV’s picture quality, price, value, or current stock. Assess those separately using current listings and product reviews.
