Samsung S90H vs LG C6: Which 2026 OLED TV Is Better for Your Room?

The Samsung S90H is the stronger pick if daylight and reflections are your main concern: its matte Glare Free screen handles reflections better than the LG C6’s glossy display, according to RTINGS’ direct comparison. The LG C6 has the edge for other priorities, including HDR brightness, Dolby Vision and processing. Neither is the universal winner; the right choice depends on your room and the content you watch.

Why the Samsung S90H is better for bright rooms

Reflections can make a glossy TV harder to watch when windows or lamps are visible on screen. The S90H’s matte coating is its defining advantage over the LG C6 in this comparison. RTINGS rates the Samsung as the better bright-room choice, and Samsung’s April 2, 2026 announcement identifies Glare Free technology as a feature of the S90H. TechRadar has also discussed reflections as a limitation of glossy OLED viewing.

If your TV faces a bright window, or you often watch with lights on, that reflection handling may matter more day to day than a difference in HDR formats. The advantage is about managing reflections, not eliminating every source of glare or making room lighting irrelevant.

Where the LG C6 has the advantage

RTINGS’ direct comparison, updated September 18, 2026, gives the LG C6 the advantage in HDR brightness and processing, and notes its support for Dolby Vision. Those strengths make the LG a compelling alternative for viewers who prioritize HDR presentation, Dolby Vision content, or image processing over reflection handling.

Dolby Vision versus Samsung HDR formats

Tom’s Guide’s July 18, 2026 comparison lists Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG for the C6, while the S90H is listed with HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Advanced and HLG. The format choice matters if you specifically want Dolby Vision support: the Samsung’s HDR10+ support is not the same format. Check the exact regional model’s specifications before buying.

Gaming features and sizes

RTINGS says the two TVs share gaming features. Tom’s Guide lists both as 4K sets with four HDMI 2.1 ports and a 165 Hz refresh rate. Its comparison lists the LG C6 in 42-, 48-, 55- and 65-inch sizes, and the S90H in 42-, 48-, 55-, 65-, 77- and 83-inch sizes. These specifications and availability can vary by market and model size, so confirm them on the manufacturer’s page for the exact TV you are considering.

How the S90H fits Samsung’s 2026 OLED range

Samsung announced the S95H, S90H and S85H OLED series on April 2, 2026. RTINGS describes the S90H as the middle option, positioned below the S95H and above the S85H. RTINGS’ review says North American S90H variants use WOLED across most sizes and have a matte coating; that panel description should not be assumed to apply to every region or size.

Regional naming is worth checking before you compare listings. Samsung UK, for example, has an official product page for a 55-inch 2026 S90H. Use the market-specific product page and model code to verify size, specifications, stock and price rather than assuming every listing refers to an identical version.
