The report says the chip is planned for the Galaxy S27, S27+, and S27 Pro, while Samsung had not decided whether the S27 Ultra would use it. Samsung has not independently confirmed those claims in the company materials currently available.
What The Elec says has started
The Elec reports that Samsung has started wafer mass production after determining the volume needed for the Galaxy S27 base, Plus, and Pro models. Its sources describe production volume as more than 10% higher than Exynos 2600 volume. That percentage is an industry-source claim reported by The Elec, not a production forecast Samsung has published.
The report concerns front-end foundry production, an early manufacturing stage in which wafers are processed. It does not establish when finished phones will ship, how many devices Samsung will make, or when the Exynos 2700 will be announced publicly.

What Samsung has—and has not—confirmed
Samsung’s first-quarter 2026 investor presentation says its System LSI business improved with expanded flagship SoC sales and that its second-half outlook included securing flagship SoC design wins. Those statements provide business context, but they do not name the Exynos 2700 or confirm that mass production has begun.
Samsung Foundry’s process information says its second-generation SF2 MBCFET GAA process entered mass production in 2025 for mobile, high-performance computing, artificial-intelligence, and automotive applications. That page does not identify the Exynos 2700’s manufacturing node. It would be speculation to equate the reported chip with SF2 or any other specific process.

Samsung’s process page also notes that its first 4nm process, SF4E, entered mass production in 2021 for mobile applications. This is general foundry history and is not evidence about the Exynos 2700.
How significant is the reported volume increase?
A production level more than 10% above Exynos 2600 volume would suggest Samsung is preparing a larger Exynos role, at least for the models named in the report. It does not reveal the absolute wafer count, phone shipment target, regional split, or whether the increase reflects stronger demand, a broader rollout, or manufacturing planning.

Because the figure comes from unnamed sources through The Elec, it should be treated as a reported estimate until Samsung publishes a number or confirms the production program.
What this means for prospective S27 buyers
- The Exynos 2700 is a future product subject in this report, not a processor documented as currently retailing.
- The Galaxy S27 family has not yet been established here as commercially available.
- The Ultra’s chipset remains unresolved in the available reporting.
