What is reported about Galaxy S27 production?
ZDNet Korea reported on October 2, 2026, that production had begun for some components for the Galaxy S27 series during September. It said broader production was expected to ramp up in mid-October. The report does not identify every component already being made or establish that all parts, or finished phones, are in production.

The article attributes its information to unnamed component-industry sources. Samsung’s Q1 2026 interim report documents milestones for its 4th-generation 4nm, 2nd-generation 3nm GAA and 1st-generation 2nm GAA processes, but does not mention Galaxy S27 components. Those foundry milestones do not verify the phone-production report.

ZDNet Korea says Samsung is planning four models: the base Galaxy S27, S27 Plus, a new S27 Pro and the S27 Ultra. The screen sizes below are reported plans, not confirmed specifications.

The reported sizes and lineup come from ZDNet Korea’s October 2, 2026 report and have not been confirmed by Samsung. In particular, the Pro model should be treated as a reported plan, not a confirmed phone.
OLED panel targets are not sales or shipment results
ZDNet Korea reports that Samsung Display planned to begin OLED mass production in October 2026 and set an annual shipment target of 47–48 million panels for the S27 series. The outlet describes that target as more than 10% above the Galaxy S26 series target, which it puts in the low 40 million range. These are reported production targets, not actual panel shipments, phone sales or guaranteed demand.

For the proposed Pro model, the same report gives a target of 2–3 million OLED panels by the end of 2026 and 4–5 million in 2027. Those figures are attributed to the unnamed industry source and should not be read as confirmed production or sales totals.

The report says Samsung plans to reuse some components from the Galaxy S26 series in the S27 range to reduce manufacturing costs, but it does not name the parts. It also says Privacy Display, described in the report as a Galaxy S26 Ultra feature, was expected on both the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. Neither the reuse plan nor the feature expansion is confirmed by Samsung.

How does the Exynos 2700 report fit in?
A separate October 3, 2026 report from ANTARA, relaying reporting by The Elec, says Samsung began full-scale foundry production of Exynos 2700 for the S27 family. It attributes to industry sources a reported production volume 10% higher than Exynos 2600 and regional expectations for which chipset the phones may use. This is a separate, unconfirmed claim about the application processor; it is not proof of the broader component production described by ZDNet Korea.
