The Samsung QA77S95FAWXXY is the Australian 77-inch S95F: a 4K OLED built around a matte anti-reflection screen, premium gaming features and a very large installation footprint. Its clearest appeal is a big OLED for rooms where reflections are a concern; the main trade-offs are the substantial size and weight, plus a premium price whose current Australian street level needs checking with retailers.

What is the Samsung QA77S95FAWXXY?

Samsung Australia identifies QA77S95FAWXXY as the 77-inch S95F OLED television, with 4K resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels. The exact Australian model and specifications are listed on Samsung Australia’s product page.

For panel technology, TechRadar’s S95F model-family coverage describes the 55-, 65- and 77-inch versions as QD-OLED, while the 83-inch model uses a different Primary Tandem RGB OLED panel. That is independent coverage of the range, not a teardown or separate test of this Australian unit. If you are specifically asking whether you can get a 77-inch QD-OLED in Australia, this model is the relevant option, subject to local stock. See TechRadar’s S95F review for its model-family discussion.

Is the S95F good in a bright room?

Reflection handling is one of the S95F’s defining design points. Samsung lists OLED Glare Free certification, and TechRadar describes a matte Glare Free 2.0 screen. The matte finish is intended to make reflections less distracting, which may be useful in a bright living room or where windows and lamps otherwise appear on screen.

That does not mean the display is reflection-proof. The result will depend on the room, the position and intensity of light sources, and where viewers sit. The evidence here supports a reflection-reduction advantage, not a guarantee of zero glare or a verified brightness result for this exact Australian 77-inch SKU.

Does the 77-inch S95F support 165Hz?

Samsung Australia lists a 100Hz native refresh rate for QA77S95FAWXXY. Separately, Samsung’s 2025 OLED gaming announcement says the S95F supports refresh rates of up to 165Hz. These figures describe different things: do not mistake the 165Hz maximum feature claim for the listed native refresh rate. Samsung’s announcement does not establish an independent measurement of gaming latency. The feature details are in Samsung’s 2025 OLED gaming announcement.

Samsung also says the S95F supports NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. G-SYNC requires a compatible NVIDIA graphics card and may require variable refresh rate (VRR) to be enabled on both the television and GPU. These are manufacturer feature claims; check the settings and compatibility of your particular gaming setup rather than treating them as a guarantee for every device or connection.

Samsung executive Kevin Lee described the lineup as offering “elite-level performance for even the most competitive players.” That is promotional language, not a measured result. The concrete buying question is whether the supported refresh and adaptive-sync features match your PC or console and the games you play.

How much space and support does it need?

At 77 inches, the S95F is a large, heavy installation. Samsung’s Australian product specifications give these measurements and weights:

Configuration Dimensions (W × H × D) Weight
Without stand 1,716.6 × 984.1 × 11.2 mm 28.2 kg
With stand 1,716.6 × 1,048.1 × 286.4 mm 40.0 kg

Allow for the full width, stand depth and clearance around the screen, not just the diagonal measurement. Samsung specifies a 400 × 400 mm VESA mounting pattern and says the television supports slim and full-motion mounts. That pattern is a compatibility starting point, not an endorsement of a particular mount. Check that any mount is rated for the television’s weight and suits the wall construction; also confirm the arm’s reach and clearance before installation.

What are the software and Australian app caveats?

Samsung says Tizen OS upgrades are provided for seven years from the 2025 release year. Internet access and a Samsung Account are required. That is a stated upgrade policy, not a promise that every app, feature or interface element will remain unchanged for the full period.

Samsung’s Australian listing notes that Kayo and BINGE are unavailable in very remote Australian regions. App availability and the interface can change, so confirm that the services you rely on are available for your location before buying.

How does it compare with other premium TVs?

In Samsung’s 2025 range, TechRadar places the S95F above the S90F and S85F. It also judges the S95F’s screen better for bright-room viewing than the LG G5, while describing the G5’s black levels as richer in most conditions. Those are TechRadar’s comparative judgments, not universal rankings or a direct test of every Australian configuration. Use them as decision points: prioritize the S95F’s reflection handling if ambient light is a problem, and compare alternatives in your own room and at current local prices.

When comparing options, focus on the differences that affect your use: reflection handling, panel type, the refresh rate and adaptive-sync support your gaming hardware can use, required streaming apps, installation constraints, and the price gap between the S95F, lower-tier S90F or S85F models, and competing OLED or mini-LED sets.

What did the 77-inch model cost at launch?

Samsung Australia’s April 2025 launch announcement listed the QA77S95FAWXXY at AUD $9,281 and said dealer pricing was at dealer discretion. That is a historical launch price, not a current Australian street-price quote. Current retailer pricing and stock are not established here, so check local sellers for an up-to-date offer before deciding whether the premium is worthwhile. The launch details are in Samsung Australia’s April 2025 launch release.

Who should consider the QA77S95FAWXXY?

This model is worth considering if you want a 77-inch 4K OLED, value a matte screen designed to reduce distracting reflections, and can make use of its gaming features. It is a less straightforward fit if the room cannot accommodate its width and weight, your local app availability does not meet your needs, or the current price sits too close to alternatives that better suit your priorities. Confirm the exact model, current price, dimensions and installation plan before purchase.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
