The Samsung QA77S85HAEXXY is Samsung Australia’s 2026 77-inch S85H OLED 4K TV. Samsung lists 120Hz VRR, four HDMI inputs rated up to 4K at 120Hz and a launch price of $4,499; that price is historical, and Samsung’s product page currently says “Not for sale.” Independent reviews suggest the S85H series can deliver competitive OLED brightness, but their results do not establish how this exact Australian 77-inch model performs.

What is the Samsung QA77S85HAEXXY?

This SKU is the Australian 77-inch S85H, a 2026 OLED 4K Smart TV. It is not the 2025 S85F or an overseas model with a different suffix. Samsung’s Australian listing identifies the product and its specifications; its model-specific support page provides installation and software resources. The distinction matters because the independent reviews available are of S85H-series units, not confirmed tests of QA77S85HAEXXY. They can help frame the likely strengths and compromises, but they are not a measured review of this particular Australian 77-inch television.

HDR and picture modes OLED HDR, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+ Gaming and HDR10+ Advanced; Filmmaker Mode
HDMI Four inputs, maximum listed input rate 4K at 120Hz; eARC
Other connections Two USB-A ports, Ethernet, optical audio, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3
Audio 20W RMS, two channels; Dolby Atmos, OTS Lite and Q-Symphony
Wall mounting 400 × 300mm VESA pattern

Maximum and typical power consumption 430W maximum; 137.0W typical
Yearly energy figure 503kWh under the EU standard, as listed by Samsung Australia

For a wall installation, match the 400 × 300mm VESA pattern and also confirm that the mount’s load rating, supported screen size, wall construction and clearance are suitable. A 4K/120Hz connection also depends on the source device and an appropriately capable HDMI cable; the television’s port specification alone does not guarantee a cable will support that signal.

How much does it cost, and is it available?

Samsung Newsroom Australia announced a $4,499 launch price for QA77S85HAEXXY in 2026. That is the announced launch price, not evidence of today’s retail price. Samsung’s product page currently displays “Not for sale,” so check Australian retailers for live stock and pricing before making plans to buy. Brightness and picture quality

Tom’s Guide reported that its S85H test unit was brighter than the LG B6 in both SDR and HDR, while the LG was more colour accurate. In its S95H-versus-S85H comparison, Tom’s Guide measured the S85H at 470 nits in a 10% SDR window and 770 nits in a 10% HDR window. Those are review-unit measurements under the publication’s test conditions, not specifications or verified results for QA77S85HAEXXY. Tom’s Guide also found the S95H’s HDR highlights much brighter, while the S85H’s measured SDR brightness was slightly higher in Filmmaker Mode. What Hi-Fi? says the S85H lacks Dolby Vision and reports that its review unit outperformed earlier entry-level OLEDs and the LG B6 in a peak-brightness stress test. That is the publication’s test result, not a guarantee for every size or regional version. What Hi-Fi? S85H review

Gaming

Samsung’s listed 120Hz VRR and four HDMI inputs rated for up to 4K at 120Hz make the set relevant to current high-frame-rate sources on paper. In its S85H review, Tom’s Guide described the LG B6’s gaming mode as more full-featured. Tom’s Guide measured 9.2ms input latency on its S85H review unit; it is not an independently verified latency result for this Australian 77-inch SKU. Tom’s Guide comparison · Tom’s Guide S85H review

Who should consider it?

  • Consider it if you want a large OLED and Samsung’s published combination of 4K, VRR and 4K/120Hz HDMI inputs suits your sources, provided you can confirm current Australian stock and a price you find competitive.
  • Compare alternatives carefully if your room is very bright, colour accuracy is a priority, Dolby Vision support matters, or you want especially extensive gaming options. The series-level reviews point to trade-offs in these areas, but do not prove the exact performance of this SKU.
  • Check room and installation fit using the listed dimensions, stand depth and VESA pattern, and allow for delivery and mounting logistics for a 77-inch screen.

Verdict

The QA77S85HAEXXY is a clearly specified Australian 77-inch S85H OLED with high-refresh gaming features on paper, but the $4,499 figure is its 2026 launch price and Samsung currently marks the product “Not for sale.” Independent S85H reviews give useful evidence of the series’ picture and gaming trade-offs, not a lab verdict on this precise 77-inch model. Treat it as a candidate to compare against currently available large OLEDs, and verify live price, stock and exact local model before buying.
