Samsung Wallet’s Germany partner page currently names Deutsche Bank, Postbank, Norisbank, Trade Republic Bank, N26, Klarna, TF Bank and Vimo Pay. That list is a starting point, not a guarantee that every card from those providers works. Samsung Pay can also mean a separate Samsung virtual-card option linked to a bank account, which has different eligibility rules.

Samsung describes the supported functionality as involving debit and credit cards, with Visa and/or Mastercard depending on the partner. A provider appearing on the page does not establish that every card product, network, or variant it issues is eligible. Check the exact card in Samsung Wallet or confirm with its issuer.

Does a bank-issued card differ from Samsung Pay’s virtual card?
Yes. A bank-issued card added to Samsung Wallet is not the same product as Samsung Pay’s own virtual card, issued in cooperation with Solaris. Samsung’s virtual-card route involves linking a bank account and completing an eligibility and identity process. Samsung says an account at a bank that issues a German IBAN may be used for identification if the bank meets the required technical and administrative conditions; that does not mean the bank’s own cards can be added to Wallet.

Samsung’s eligibility requirements, updated July 7, 2026, say applicants must be at least 18, have their primary residence in Germany and use a compatible Samsung device. For the debit-card and/or Splitpay route described there, online banking and two-factor authentication are required. The verification process excludes business and savings accounts. Samsung says its signup assessment determines which product option is offered, so an applicant should not assume a particular product or limit will be available.
What about cooperative banks and Deutsche Bank?

On September 21, 2026, Samsung announced that customers of the Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe—including Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, Sparda-Banken, PSD banks and other cooperative institutions—could add eligible Mastercard and Visa cards. Samsung described the group as having more than 600 banks in Germany. That is a group-level announcement, not a confirmed compatibility list for every institution or card in the group. Check the precise card with its issuer or in Wallet.

Deutsche Bank
Samsung announced its Deutsche Bank card integration on March 12, 2026, saying customers could add credit and debit cards beginning in March 2026. Samsung lists Postbank and Norisbank separately on its partner page, so check each provider and card on its own merits rather than assuming one listing covers another.

- Open Samsung’s Samsung Wallet partner page for Germany and see whether your issuer is named.
- Identify the exact card product and whether it is Visa or Mastercard. A bank-level listing alone does not confirm the card variant.
- Try adding the card in Samsung Wallet. If it is declined or not offered, ask the issuer whether that specific card is supported for Samsung Wallet in Germany.
- If you mean Samsung’s virtual-card route instead, review Samsung’s eligibility requirements and complete the in-app assessment. A German IBAN by itself does not establish eligibility.
- Check Samsung’s live compatible-device list for your exact phone or watch model.
Device and payment acceptance notes
Samsung’s registration FAQ, updated October 16, 2025, says Samsung Pay is integrated into Samsung Wallet for most Galaxy phones running Android 9 or later. Because that statement does not identify every supported model, use Samsung’s current device compatibility list for the specific device. The same FAQ says payments work where Visa and NFC contactless payments are accepted and that Samsung Pay has no user fee; these are Samsung’s published service statements, so check its current terms for changes.

Samsung’s registration FAQ also explains that, for the bank-account identification route, the customer’s bank must be based in Germany and satisfy technical and administrative requirements. This is about account verification for that route, not blanket support for every bank-issued card.
