PCWorld reported the Samsung Odyssey G55C at $190 on October 2, 2026, calling the offer a match for its best price. That is a promising deal for a 32-inch, 1440p, 165Hz curved monitor—but it is a dated price report, not confirmation of today’s checkout price. Earlier coverage also reported the G55C at $189.99, so “lowest price” should be read as the characterization of a particular deal report, not a verified all-time record.
What monitor is the $190 deal about?
It is the Samsung Odyssey G55C: a 32-inch curved gaming display. Do not confuse it with Samsung’s Odyssey G50F, a separate model that PCWorld described as a flat IPS monitor with a 180Hz refresh rate. Those G50F specifications do not apply to the G55C.

PCWorld’s October 2, 2026 deal report lists the G55C’s resolution as 2560 × 1440 (QHD), its refresh rate as 165Hz, its curve as 1000R, and its response time as 1ms. These are reported specifications, not results from independent testing.
Is $190 a good price?
It is a compelling reported price if the exact G55C is still available at that amount and suits your needs. PCWorld compared $190 with a stated $330 original price and described the offer as matching the monitor’s best price. But other deal coverage reported $189.99 on June 21 and July 2, 2026. The available reports do not establish a complete price history, so they cannot prove an all-time low.

What you get—and what to consider
A large QHD screen with a strong curve
At 32 inches and 2560 × 1440, the G55C prioritizes screen size and immersion over the finer pixel density of a smaller screen at the same resolution. Its 1000R curve is pronounced, which may suit games that fill your view but is a matter of preference for everyday desktop work. Consider whether you want that curve for the mix of gaming and productivity you actually do.

Fast refresh, with reported VA-panel trade-offs
Tom’s Hardware identifies the G55C as a VA-panel monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2. It also reports a 300-nit peak brightness and HDR10 support. The same coverage cautions that color accuracy and HDR performance may trail IPS or OLED alternatives. HDR10 support alone does not establish how impactful HDR will look in use.

Plan around audio and your other requirements
Tom’s Hardware reports that the monitor has no built-in speakers, so plan to use separate audio if you need sound. The available deal coverage does not establish the exact regional SKU’s warranty, stand adjustments, VESA compatibility, or included cables; check the product listing or manufacturer documentation for those details before purchase.
