Samsung may leave the stick-vacuum business by the end of 2026, according to a June 19, 2026 report by Korea JoongAng Daily. The report cites an unnamed source familiar with Samsung’s plans and describes an exit as under consideration—not as a final decision announced by Samsung.
That distinction matters. The available evidence does not show that Samsung is abandoning every vacuum category, discontinuing all models worldwide, or setting a global sales cutoff. Samsung’s own recent disclosures still describe stick- and robot-vacuum development, while separate reporting confirms a home-appliance withdrawal in mainland China.

What the reported exit actually covers
The June report concerns Samsung Electronics’ Digital Appliances division and three businesses being considered for possible withdrawal: stick vacuums, microwaves and dishwashers. The reported timing is the end of 2026, but the source is anonymous and Samsung has not publicly confirmed a completed stick-vacuum exit.

The report specifically identifies stick vacuums. It does not establish an exit from robot vacuums, canister vacuums, every national market, or Samsung’s entire vacuum portfolio. It also does not provide a confirmed discontinuation date for products already sold.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The same report attributes weak profitability to its unnamed source. That is a source claim, not a published Samsung financial finding, so it should not be treated as an established explanation for any eventual decision.
Samsung is still documenting vacuum development
Samsung’s FY2025 business report, filed April 30, 2026, lists ongoing vacuum-related work. The disclosure mentions:
- Bespoke Jet AI products
- A high-temperature cleaning brush
- A wet-and-dry robot vacuum for Korea
- A high-suction stick-vacuum research project described as 400W
Those entries prove that development activity was disclosed in the report. They do not guarantee that every project will launch, remain funded, or be sold in every country, and they do not by themselves resolve the separate report that Samsung is considering a stick-vacuum withdrawal.

Recent product announcements point to a transition, not a confirmed shutdown
Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum
On March 30, 2025, Samsung announced a global rollout for the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra cordless stick vacuum. Samsung described the model as offering up to 400 air watts (AW) of suction and quoted Jeong Seung Moon, executive vice president and head of the Digital Appliances R&D Team, calling it the company’s most powerful cordless stick vacuum.
Do not confuse that 400 AW announcement with the FY2025 report’s reference to a 400W high-suction research project. Watts and air watts are different specifications, and the two figures should not be presented as the same measurement.
A global-rollout announcement also does not mean the model is currently stocked or supported identically in every country. Retail inventory, warranty terms, replacement components and repair channels remain market-specific.

Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra robot vacuum
In December 2025, Samsung announced the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra as part of its CES 2026 lineup. That is evidence of continuing robot-vacuum activity, but an announced lineup is not the same as universal retail availability.

South China Morning Post reported on May 7, 2026, that Samsung planned to end home-appliance sales in mainland China, including vacuum cleaners. The report said after-sales services would continue normally.
This is a regional sales withdrawal. It should not be recast as proof that Samsung is stopping vacuum sales worldwide. A China-market decision can affect local availability and retailer stock without determining what Samsung sells in the United States, South Korea, Europe or other regions.

Robot-vacuum plans remain market-dependent
Samsung’s robot strategy has its own competitive and timing questions. Yonhap reported on February 11, 2026, that Samsung unveiled a new Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum and aimed to become South Korea’s No. 1 robot-vacuum brand. The article put Roborock’s share at nearly 50% of South Korea’s robot-vacuum market at that time. That is a time-specific figure, not a current audited global or Korean market-share estimate.
Electronic Times reported on August 10, 2026, that Samsung had not finalized the global launch timing for the 2026 Bespoke AI Steam robot vacuum. A Samsung spokesperson said the company would review global timing after assessing the situation. This reinforces that product plans, launch dates and availability can differ by geography even when Samsung is actively developing a category.

- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Check local stock and the model’s launch status. A product announced for global rollout may still have limited or changing availability in your country.
- Read the warranty terms before purchase. Confirm who provides repairs, how long coverage lasts and whether coverage is valid if sales later stop in your market.
- Verify service and replacement-part channels. Ask Samsung or an authorized service provider about batteries, filters, brushes, dust containers and other model-specific components.
- Consider your floor and cleaning needs. Compare a cordless stick vacuum’s battery runtime, charging or emptying dock, weight and maintenance requirements with alternatives available locally.
- Keep your receipt and model number. Those details are essential for warranty claims and parts searches if retail listings change.
Owners in mainland China should distinguish Samsung’s reported sales halt from its stated continuation of after-sales service. Owners elsewhere should not assume that China’s policy applies to their market.
What is known—and what is not
| Question | What the available evidence supports |
|---|---|
| Is Samsung leaving all vacuum businesses? | No. The reported consideration specifically concerns stick vacuums; a complete global vacuum exit is not confirmed. |
| Has Samsung announced a final stick-vacuum shutdown? | No. The June 2026 report describes an unnamed-source account of a plan under consideration. |
| Are Samsung vacuums ending in China? | Samsung reportedly plans to end mainland-China home-appliance sales, including vacuums, while continuing after-sales service. |
| Is Samsung still developing vacuums? | Yes. Its FY2025 report lists stick- and robot-vacuum projects, and Samsung announced recent Bespoke Jet and Jet Bot products. |
| Is there a worldwide discontinuation date? | Not established by the available reporting. |
The Bottom Line
Samsung may withdraw from stick vacuums by the end of 2026, but that remains an unconfirmed consideration reported by an unnamed source. Samsung is still disclosing vacuum development and recent product activity, while the confirmed regional issue is a planned mainland-China home-appliance sales withdrawal. Check local stock, warranty, parts and service terms for the exact model before buying.
