Its headline features are nine Ambient Edge Lighting modes, WindFree cooling, SmartThings connectivity and AI Comfort Mode. Samsung’s October 5, 2026 launch release lists VRF and Commercial Split capacities and a starting price of ₹16,00,000 inclusive of GST, but another Samsung release gives conflicting capacity and price details. Confirm the exact model and current quote with an authorized commercial AC channel partner before planning a purchase.
What Samsung announced
Samsung India announced the next-generation Infinite One-Way Cassette AC for premium homes, offices and other commercial environments. It is a ceiling-mounted cassette rather than a conventional wall-mounted split unit. Samsung says the series is offered in two system configurations in India: VRF and Commercial Split (CAC). The precise model and installation requirements depend on the project.

Samsung positions the product as AI-powered, naming AI Comfort Mode and SmartThings features in its launch material. The release does not explain the AI implementation in technical detail, so the label should not be read as a description of a particular algorithm or a quantified performance advantage.

Ambient Edge Lighting is the design feature that most visibly distinguishes the unit. Samsung describes nine modes inspired by the human circadian rhythm: Warm, Natural and Cool lighting, each at High and Low intensity, plus Smart Lighting Intensity, which adjusts brightness. Its product page says users can link the edge lighting to the air conditioner’s power status through a setting in the SmartThings app.

The circadian description is Samsung’s design framing; it is not evidence that the lighting produces a measured health or sleep benefit. The system also has built-in Wi-Fi and SmartThings control. Check that the intended functions are supported by the specific model and installation configuration.
How the WindFree cooling is described
Samsung says the upgraded Wide WindFree panel is twice as wide as the previous generation and contains 17,000 micro-holes. The company says these disperse air gently and evenly to create what it calls a “still air” environment. These are manufacturer descriptions of the design and comfort experience, not independent comparative findings or a guarantee for every room layout.

The stated ultra-slim profile is 13.8 cm. Samsung also lists a copper antibacterial filter. It reports that the filter can reduce certain bacteria by up to 99%, based on Intertek testing of a filter unit against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 and Klebsiella pneumoniae ATCC 4352 under KS K 0693:2016 for 18 hours. Samsung says the test was on the filter unit, not a specific AC model, and that results may vary by environment; it does not establish whole-room infection prevention.

| System configuration | Capacities listed in the October 5, 2026 launch release |
|---|---|
| VRF | 2.8 kW, 3.6 kW, 5.6 kW and 7.1 kW |
| Commercial Split (CAC) | 3.5 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.1 kW |
The listed capacity is not enough on its own to select a unit. An HVAC professional should assess the building and room load, system design and site conditions; the capacities shown for VRF and CAC should not be treated as interchangeable options for the same installation.
There is an unresolved discrepancy in Samsung’s own published information. A separate Samsung release dated September 16, 2026 lists 3.6 kW, 5.2 kW and 7.1 kW configurations and a starting price of INR 160000, rather than the figures in the October 5 launch release. The launch-specific capacities and ₹16,00,000 starting price above are therefore not a substitute for a current quote. Samsung says the series is available nationwide in India through commercial AC channel partners; ask one to confirm the current SKU, system type, capacity, price, installation scope and service coverage.

Who should consider this cassette AC?
The product is aimed at projects where a ceiling cassette, connected controls and visible lighting are part of the brief—not simply at anyone seeking a replacement room air conditioner. Premium homeowners, office and hospitality operators, architects and HVAC specifiers may want to evaluate it as part of a wider cooling system design.
