The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Motorola Edge 70 Fusion are aimed at different buyers: the Fold8 is a premium foldable that opens into a 7.6-inch screen, while the Edge 70 Fusion is a conventional 6.78-inch phone. The Fold8’s higher price is clear from the available regional listings, but those listings do not support one reliable, like-for-like price difference across markets. Compare local prices for the same storage tier before deciding.

What the screen difference means in daily use
Galaxy Z Fold8: more room when opened
The Fold8’s 7.6-inch inner display gives you a larger surface for reading, viewing media or working with content than a standard phone screen. Its 5.5-inch cover display is the smaller screen for using the phone while folded. That flexibility is the main reason to choose a foldable; it is also a different form factor to consider compared with a single-screen handset. Samsung lists a 120 Hz refresh rate for the Fold8 in Australia. Samsung’s Australian specifications are regional manufacturer figures.
Edge 70 Fusion: familiar slab-phone format
TechRadar describes the Edge 70 Fusion as a conventional phone with a 6.78-inch display. If you want one screen and do not need a display that unfolds into a larger canvas, its form factor may be the more straightforward fit. The available material does not establish a direct test comparing how the two screens perform side by side.

Price comparison: check within your country
There is no defensible single price difference to quote from the available listings: the figures come from different countries and sources, and Motorola’s India figure is not verified well enough to treat as a current price. Use the table as regional reference points, not as a synchronized quote or a direct subtraction.

Performance and storage: what can be compared
TechRadar’s Edge 70 Fusion review configuration uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Samsung’s India store lists the Fold8 in a 256 GB / 12 GB configuration, while Tom’s Guide reports US options up to 1 TB of storage and 16 GB of RAM. These configuration details help explain what is being priced, but they are not benchmark results: the available figures do not establish a measured performance winner.

Battery and charging: one test, not a head-to-head result
Samsung lists a 4,800 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the Fold8 in Australia. Separately, Tom’s Guide reports 12 hours and 19 minutes in its own web-surfing battery test. That result belongs to Tom’s Guide’s test conditions; it should not be read as a guaranteed runtime for every user or as proof the Fold8 outlasts the Edge 70 Fusion. No equivalent Edge battery test is established in the cited material, so a winner on endurance cannot be named.

Fold8 camera limitation to weigh
Tom’s Guide notes that the Fold8 has no dedicated telephoto rear camera. If optical zoom is a priority, account for that before choosing it; the cited information does not provide a comparable Edge 70 Fusion camera test or establish which phone takes better photos overall.

Box contents and availability
Samsung India says the Fold8 box contains the smartphone, a data cable and an ejection pin, but no travel adapter. Box contents can vary by region, so check the local listing before purchase. Samsung says the Fold8 was unveiled after Galaxy Unpacked on July 22, 2026, and is available through Samsung.com. It lists Lavender, Graphite and Cream, plus Pistachio as an online exclusive in select regions. TechRadar reports the Edge 70 Fusion was announced on March 2, 2026; its availability is market-specific, and the review says it is not sold in the US.
