The main difference is the form factor: Samsung lists the Galaxy Z Fold7 with an 8.0-inch inner display that unfolds from a 6.5-inch cover screen. For matching 256GB unlocked models, Samsung’s US listings put the Fold7 at $1,999.99 and the Galaxy S26 at a displayed $899.99 after a $100 reduction from its $999.99 regular price—a $1,000 gap at those listed prices, before taxes, trade-ins, carrier offers, or other promotions.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 vs Samsung Galaxy S26: what the verified specs show
The available official specifications support a detailed account of the Fold7, but Samsung’s cited US S26 purchase page exposes storage and pricing rather than a full hardware specification table. That means a careful comparison can establish the Fold7’s screen, cameras, battery, weight, processor and memory, but cannot responsibly rank those categories against the S26 here.

How the screen difference affects the choice
The Fold7’s defining verified feature is its foldable layout: an 8.0-inch main screen when open and a 6.5-inch cover display when closed. That gives it a large-screen use case the cited S26 listing does not allow us to compare dimension-for-dimension. Choose based on whether that unfolding screen is worth paying for; this evidence does not establish that one phone has a better display in image quality or other measures.

Which phone makes sense for you?
- Consider the Fold7 if an 8.0-inch foldable inner screen is the feature you want and its listed price premium fits your budget.
- Consider the S26 if you prefer the lower displayed price for a 256GB model and do not need the Fold7’s verified foldable-screen format. The cited listing is not enough to compare the S26’s other hardware.
- Wait to compare hardware if your decision depends on camera, battery, processor or display specifications across both phones. Confirm those S26 details from an authoritative full specification page before making that comparison.
What comes in the box
Samsung’s listings say neither phone includes a charger. The Fold7 box listing includes the phone, a data cable and an ejection pin. If you need a charger, account for it separately.
