Which design and display suits your use?
Galaxy Z Fold6: a phone that opens into a larger workspace
The Fold6 has two displays: a 6.3-inch cover display for use while closed and a 7.6-inch main display when opened. Samsung lists both as 120Hz displays. The larger inner screen is the main reason to choose this model if you expect to read, work across apps or use a more tablet-like screen without carrying a separate tablet.

#1 Best Overall
- A premium foldable smartphone featuring an 8.0" Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, 6.5" cover display, 200MP main camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, 4,400mAh battery, and a slim 215g design.
Galaxy S25 Ultra: a large screen in a conventional phone
The S25 Ultra has a 6.9-inch-class display in a traditional slab-style body. It gives you a large screen without a second, unfolding display. Choose it if you prefer a conventional phone design and do not need the Fold6’s expanded workspace.
How do the S Pen options compare?
The S25 Ultra has an S Pen built into the phone. The Fold6 supports the S Pen Fold Edition, but Samsung’s support information does not establish that the stylus is included in every regional sales bundle. Check the exact listing and box contents before buying if you need a stylus.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
The Fold6’s rear camera system comprises a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto. Samsung highlights a 200MP wide camera on the S25 Ultra. Those figures describe different camera hardware; megapixel count alone does not establish which phone takes better photos. The cited specifications do not provide a controlled comparison of image quality.
Battery capacity and performance: what can you conclude?
Battery
The stated capacities are 4,400mAh for the Fold6 and 5,000mAh for the S25 Ultra. The S25 Ultra’s figure is higher, but capacity alone is not an independent runtime measurement and does not establish how long either phone lasts in your use.

Samsung’s U.S. MSRP file effective March 2025 listed the 256GB unlocked Galaxy Z Fold6 at $1,899.99 and the 256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra at $1,299.99—a $600 difference at those listed prices. What about water and dust resistance?
Samsung US Support explains the Fold6’s IP48 rating this way: “IP48 means your device resists solid particles larger than 1 mm, and it has been tested for submersion in up to 5 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes.” This is Samsung’s stated test description; it is not a claim that the device is protected against every kind of dust or liquid exposure.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy Z Fold6 if the ability to open to a 7.6-inch display is central to how you will use the phone.
- Choose the Galaxy S25 Ultra if you want a conventional phone with a built-in S Pen, a Samsung-highlighted 200MP main camera and higher stated battery capacity.
- Compare current offers carefully if price is decisive: the $600 gap is based on Samsung’s March 2025 U.S. list prices, not live October 2026 pricing.
