Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked on July 9, 2025, in Brooklyn introduced the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE and Galaxy Watch8 family. The event is over: Fold7 pre-orders opened that day, and general availability began July 25, 2025.
What Samsung announced on July 9
Samsung framed the event around foldable phones, Galaxy AI and wearables. Its recap described the new devices as combining AI integration, changed form factors and performance improvements; those are Samsung’s characterizations, not independent comparative findings. Samsung’s event recap names four product groups:

What distinguished the announced devices
Galaxy Z Fold7
Samsung described the Fold7 at announcement as the thinnest and lightest model in its Fold series. That is a time-bound manufacturer claim, not a statement about the thinnest or lightest foldable available today. Samsung’s Fold7 announcement provides the company’s launch framing.

Galaxy Z Flip7 and Flip7 FE
Samsung highlighted a redesigned FlexWindow and what it called the largest battery in the Flip series at that point for the Flip7. These are manufacturer claims tied to the 2025 announcement; they do not establish a present-day comparison with later models. Samsung’s Flip7 announcement describes the model. The event recap also lists the Flip7 FE among the launches, but the cited event materials do not establish an independent value ranking between the two flips.
