There is no single reliable price gap without matching market and storage: recent US S26 prices and the Signature’s euro listing are not like-for-like.

Which phone is smaller and easier to carry?
The Galaxy S26 is shorter, narrower, and 19 g lighter according to the listed dimensions. Its 6.3-inch full-rectangle screen measurement (6.1 inches with rounded corners) is also notably smaller than the Signature’s listed 6.8-inch display. Choose the S26 if a compact handset and easier one-handed handling matter more than a large viewing area.

How do the displays compare?
On listed specifications, the Signature has the larger and sharper panel, with a higher refresh rate: 2780 × 1264 and 165 Hz versus the S26’s 2340 × 1080 and 120 Hz. That can make the Signature attractive for a spacious screen and smooth motion. These figures alone do not establish which display looks better in person; brightness, color, reflections, and software behavior are not resolved by this comparison.
Samsung notes that the S26 display’s actual viewable area is smaller than its diagonal measurements because of rounded corners and the camera opening. See Samsung’s display measurement clarification.

Battery capacity does not settle battery life
The Signature’s listed 5,200 mAh capacity is higher than the S26’s 4,300 mAh typical capacity. Samsung also lists the S26’s rated/minimum capacity as 4,175 mAh. These are capacity figures, not comparable runtime results: no documented head-to-head battery-life test establishes which phone lasts longer under the same conditions.
Chips, memory, and storage
The S26’s processor varies by region: Samsung lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy or Exynos 2600, while PhoneArena lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for the Signature. Processor names alone do not establish a real-world performance winner, particularly without matched testing.

Samsung lists 12 GB RAM configurations with either 256 GB or 512 GB storage, with availability depending on market. PhoneArena lists the Signature with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Confirm the exact regional model before buying, especially if comparing prices or relying on a particular processor.
Camera comparison: what the specifications establish
Samsung specifies a 12 MP ultrawide, 50 MP wide, and 10 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom for the S26. PhoneArena identifies the Signature as having a triple camera, but the detailed setup is not established in the cited comparison. That is not enough to call either phone the camera winner; no reliable, comparable image testing is available here.

Water and durability ratings
The S26 is rated IP68. Samsung describes its test as up to 1.5 m of freshwater for up to 30 minutes and warns that water resistance may diminish through wear. The Signature’s IP69 and MIL-STD 810H ratings are listed by PhoneArena. Ratings describe defined tests, not a guarantee against damage in everyday use; they are not interchangeable with a warranty or proof of immunity to drops, water, or dust.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S26 if you want a smaller, lighter phone or value its specified 3× optical telephoto camera.
