The Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G is the larger-screen option, with a higher listed refresh rate and lower prices in the cited Indian comparison snapshots. The Samsung Galaxy S26 is the more compact phone, and one comparison site reports a higher Samsung benchmark result. The price gap is not a single settled figure: the two comparison pages list different prices.

How much do they cost in India?
The cited comparison pages show two different Indian price snapshots. The differences below are arithmetic based on each page’s listed prices—not a guaranteed current price or an official price comparison.
| Source and date context | Galaxy S26 listed price | Motorola listed price | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles comparison page, crawled during research; specific price-check date not stated | ₹74,999 | ₹47,999 | ₹27,000 |
| Smartprix comparison, last updated September 17, 2026 | ₹79,999 | ₹48,990 | ₹31,009 |
These comparisons show a lower listed price for the Motorola in both snapshots, but the disagreement between sources means there is no single definitive price gap to quote. The Smartprix comparison shows 256GB for each phone; check that the RAM and storage variants, seller, and other listing details match before treating any live prices as directly comparable. Prices can change after the pages’ snapshots.

Which display is better for you?
Choose Motorola for a bigger, faster-refreshing screen
The Motorola’s listed 6.78-inch or 6.8-inch display gives you more screen area than the Galaxy S26’s 6.3-inch panel. Its listed 144Hz refresh rate is also higher than Samsung’s 120Hz. Those figures favor Motorola for readers who prioritize a spacious display or the higher stated refresh rate.

Choose Samsung if compact size matters more
Samsung’s 6.3-inch screen is the more compact option. The Singapore specifications list the base S26 at 167g and 7.2mm thick, useful reference points for someone prioritizing a smaller, lighter phone. Do not confuse Samsung’s separate 6.7-inch S26+ option with the base Galaxy S26 in this comparison.

Samsung’s official Singapore specifications list a 50MP wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultrawide. Smartprix lists three 50MP cameras for the Motorola, including a periscope telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom. The listed resolutions and zoom hardware describe the camera setups, but megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. No comparable hands-on image testing is available here, so the specifications do not support naming an overall camera winner.

Performance and battery: read the listings in context
Performance
91mobiles lists the Exynos 2600 in the Galaxy S26 and the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme in the Motorola. That site reports a higher Geekbench multi-core result for Samsung. Treat this as one comparison site’s benchmark data, not an independent test conducted for this article or proof that Samsung will be faster in every task.

Battery
Samsung specifies a 4,300mAh rated capacity for the base Galaxy S26. Comparison sites report a greater capacity or runtime for the Motorola, but the Motorola figures cited here are not verified against a manufacturer page. Capacity and estimated runtime do not, by themselves, predict how long either phone will last in your own use.
Which phone should you choose?
- Pick the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G if you want the larger listed display, the higher listed refresh rate, or the lower price shown in the cited Indian snapshots.
- Pick the Samsung Galaxy S26 if a compact 6.3-inch phone is your priority, or if you prefer Samsung’s ecosystem.
- Compare live listings carefully if price is decisive: match the market, RAM and storage configuration, seller and exact model before comparing totals.
For more details on the base S26, Samsung’s Singapore specifications page is model-specific. Samsung India’s Galaxy S26-series specifications page lists Sub6 5G support and February 25, 2026 as the launch date, but its page configuration is less clearly specific to the base model.
