The Galaxy S26 is the more compact phone. The Galaxy A37 5G has the larger screen and the higher typical battery rating. Samsung lists the S26 at 6.3 inches and 4,300 mAh, and the A37 at 6.7 inches and 5,000 mAh typical. These are manufacturer figures, not measured battery life. The price difference cannot be reduced to one current number, because the figures Samsung has published cover different storage sizes, dates and purchase types.
Screen size: the S26 is smaller, the A37 has the larger display
Samsung describes the S26 display as 6.3 inches measured across the full rectangle, or 6.1 inches once the rounded corners are accounted for, in its February 25, 2026 announcement of the S26 series (Samsung Global Newsroom). The A37 is listed at 6.7 inches in Samsung’s US announcement. For a like-for-like reading, compare the 6.3-inch full-rectangle figure with the A37’s 6.7 inches. The 6.1-inch figure is a narrower measure and should not be set against the A37’s number.

Battery: higher rated capacity on the A37, but capacity is not runtime
Samsung lists the S26 battery at 4,300 mAh. For the A37 it lists 5,000 mAh typical, a typical rating rather than a fixed minimum. The A37 figure is higher on paper, but battery life depends on the screen, the processor, network conditions and how the phone is used. No independent runtime test comparing these two phones is cited here, so the capacity gap should be read as a specification difference only.

Samsung US’s A37 comparison lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The A37 is offered in two configurations: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, or 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. It has no microSD slot, so the storage you buy is the storage you keep. The Samsung material used for this comparison does not give the S26’s display technology or memory options in the same form, so the two phones cannot be compared on those points here.

Cameras: listed hardware, no winner
Samsung México’s regional specification for the A37 lists 50MP, 8MP and 5MP rear cameras and a 12MP front camera. Megapixel counts do not indicate image quality, and regional models can differ in hardware, so check the specification for the model sold in your market. Camera hardware for the S26 is not compared in the sources used here. No camera winner can be declared without matched, independent image testing.
Price difference: why there is no single number
Three price figures are published, and each describes something different. Subtracting one figure from another mixes launch prices, list prices and a retail page price, so the result should not be quoted as a current price gap.

How to build a fair price comparison
- Choose one country. Samsung’s figures are market-specific, and availability dates differ by market.
- Match storage. Compare the S26 128GB with the A37 128GB (6GB/128GB), and the S26 256GB with the A37 256GB (8GB/256GB). Do not compare a 512GB S26 with any A37 figure, since none is given.
- Match the purchase type. Compare unlocked prices with unlocked prices, and carrier offers with carrier offers. Note whether any trade-in or promotional credit applies.
- Record the date and the price type for each figure: launch price, list price, or current retail price.
- Check what is in the box. Samsung’s US A37 page states that a charger is not included, so a buyer without a compatible charger should add that cost.
- Pull all prices on the same day and repeat the comparison before buying.
Which phone fits your needs
- Choose the S26 if a smaller phone matters more to you than screen area or the higher rated battery capacity of the A37.
- Consider the A37 if a larger 6.7-inch display, a 120Hz refresh rate and a higher typical battery rating are your priorities, and its price in your market, at your storage size, is lower.
- Decide on price only after you have same-storage, same-day figures from your own country.
- Decide on camera or performance only after matched independent tests are available. None are cited in this comparison.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
