Neither specification sheet establishes which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in real use. Price is also market-specific: the available US launch figure for Samsung and vivo’s China list prices are not directly comparable.
How do the displays and designs compare?
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra | vivo X300 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; adaptive 1–120 Hz | 6.78-inch AMOLED; 2800 × 1260; 1–120 Hz |
| Dimensions | 78.1 × 163.6 × 7.9 mm | 75.48 × 161.98 × 7.99 mm |
| Weight | 214 g | 226 g |
Samsung measures its display at 6.9 inches across the full rectangle and 6.7 inches when accounting for rounded corners. Its screen is larger on paper, while the phone is 12 g lighter than the China-listed X300 Pro. Vivo’s listed body is narrower and shorter, but slightly thicker. These figures describe dimensions, not how comfortable either phone will feel in a particular hand. Sources: Samsung and vivo China.

What are the camera differences?
Samsung: two optical telephoto cameras
The S26 Ultra has a 200 MP main camera, 50 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Samsung separately labels 2x and 10x as “optical quality” zoom, not optical zoom. The front camera is 12 MP. Samsung says its main camera captures 47% more light and its 50 MP 5x telephoto 37% more light than the corresponding S25 Ultra cameras; those are Samsung’s own comparisons, not independent test results.
vivo: high-resolution ZEISS telephoto and 50 MP front camera
vivo Europe lists a 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera, a 50 MP ZEISS gimbal-grade main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide and a 50 MP front camera. The page also advertises 4K 120 fps Dolby Vision video, 4K 120 fps stabilization and 10-bit Log recording, alongside VS1 imaging and V3+ post-processing chips. These are declared features, not evidence of how the phone performs in a controlled comparison. The Pakistan launch announcement names a vivo ZEISS 2.35x telephoto extender, but its compatibility and availability should be confirmed for the specific regional model before purchase. On the listed hardware, Samsung offers two dedicated rear telephoto cameras and vivo centers its camera configuration around a 200 MP APO telephoto and 50 MP selfie camera. Megapixel counts, lens labels and video modes alone do not settle image quality; that requires comparable photos and video captured under the same conditions.
How do battery capacity and charging compare?
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra | vivo X300 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Typical capacity | 5,000 mAh; 4,855 mAh rated minimum | 6,510 mAh; 6,375 mAh rated |
| Wired charging | Samsung claims up to 75% in around 30 minutes with a 60 W adapter, sold separately | 90 W listed |
| Wireless charging | Not stated in the cited Samsung specifications | 40 W listed |
The capacities come from different market specifications and do not predict a direct difference in hours of use. Screen settings, network conditions, software and workload all affect endurance; the available product specifications do not establish a controlled head-to-head battery result. Samsung’s charging figure is a manufacturer claim tied to a separately sold 60 W adapter. vivo’s capacity and charging specifications above are from its China product page. What do performance, software and durability specifications say?
Samsung lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, Android 16 and One UI 8.5. Its storage configurations are 12 GB RAM with 256 GB or 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM with 1 TB. vivo China lists the Dimensity 9500 and configurations spanning 12 or 16 GB RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB storage. Chip names and memory configurations do not substitute for like-for-like performance testing.
Samsung lists 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, subject to market and network availability. Its ingress rating is IP68 under laboratory conditions; Samsung cautions that resistance can diminish with normal wear. vivo Pakistan announced IP68/IP69 for its market model, as well as a one-year phone warranty and six months for accessories. Those Pakistan terms do not establish warranty coverage or stock elsewhere. Before choosing, check the exact regional model’s supported network bands, software version and update commitment, warranty, repair options and accessory fit with the local seller.

Samsung also highlights its built-in Privacy Display, which it describes as the first of its kind for mobile phones. That feature may matter to people who want to limit screen visibility in public; vivo’s cited product information instead emphasizes imaging features. Sources: Samsung, vivo China and vivo Pakistan.
What is the price difference?
There is no sound universal price-gap figure from the available market examples: they cover different countries, currencies, dates and price types. Associated Press reported a US launch starting price of $1,299 for the S26 Ultra in February 2026. vivo China’s official recommended prices for its standard X300 Pro variants are:

The vivo figures are China manufacturer list prices, not necessarily current street prices; the China page also lists satellite editions and a photographer kit at different prices. The Samsung figure is a US launch price, not a current offer, and the sources do not provide a matching US vivo price or same-market comparison. To find the actual difference where you live, compare the same storage tier from sellers of the same type, including local taxes, warranty and current date. Sources: Associated Press and vivo China.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the S26 Ultra if you prefer its larger listed screen, lighter listed weight, two optical telephoto options or built-in Privacy Display.
- Consider the X300 Pro if its 200 MP ZEISS APO telephoto, 50 MP front camera, China-listed battery and charging specifications, or optional extender better match your priorities—and the exact accessory and local support are confirmed.
- Compare local listings before deciding on value. Check equivalent storage, seller type, taxes, network compatibility, warranty and service availability rather than subtracting prices from different countries.
For camera quality or battery life, seek a controlled comparison of the exact regional models: the specifications cited here do not rank either phone in those real-world categories.
