Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThere is no defensible same-market price difference to calculate yet: Samsung’s U.S. price has changed, while the Motorola Signature 27’s price was still unconfirmed in the latest cited launch report. The clearest current comparison is therefore between their listed specifications and a dated U.S. Samsung price snapshot—not a claim that one is the better buy for a specific amount.
What do the phones cost?
The available figures are U.S. Samsung prices from sources reporting at different times. TechRadar reported on September 22, 2026 that Motorola had not confirmed the Signature 27’s price. Without a confirmed Motorola price for the same market and storage tier, a price difference would be guesswork.

| Phone or configuration | Reported price | Market and context |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, starting price | $1,299.99 | Samsung’s U.S. product page displayed “From $1,299.99 before trade-in” when reviewed October 7, 2026. It is a page snapshot, not a guaranteed checkout price. Samsung |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, 256GB | $1,399 | Tom’s Guide reported a U.S. price increase on October 1, 2026. It also said Amazon still had the phone at its original price at that time; that does not establish today’s price or stock. Tom’s Guide |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, 512GB | $1,599 | Price reported by Tom’s Guide in 2026; check the current U.S. listing and configuration. Tom’s Guide |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, 1TB | $1,999 | Price reported by Tom’s Guide in 2026; check the current U.S. listing and configuration. Tom’s Guide |
| Motorola Signature 27 | Not confirmed | TechRadar’s September 22, 2026 launch report said the price was unconfirmed. TechRadar |
These numbers are not all the same kind of price: Samsung’s page showed a starting price, while the reported tier figures reflect a later U.S. price change. Discounts, trade-ins, storage, and regional pricing can change what a buyer actually pays. The earlier Motorola Signature’s reported £899.99 starting price is not a Signature 27 price and should not be used to estimate one.

How do their specifications compare?
PhoneArena’s comparison database lists the following figures. They are useful for an initial spec-sheet comparison, but Motorola’s camera and battery entries conflict with another comparison source, so treat those figures as provisional rather than final regional specifications. PhoneArena

What the display figures mean
The database comparison gives Samsung a slightly larger screen and higher listed resolution. Motorola’s listed 165Hz refresh rate is higher than Samsung’s 120Hz, but refresh-rate figures alone do not establish that one phone will feel smoother in everyday use. Display quality also depends on factors such as brightness, calibration, and how software and apps use the panel; the listed figures do not settle those comparisons.
What is known—and uncertain—about the cameras
Samsung’s official product page highlights a 200MP wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera. PhoneArena describes the S26 Ultra as having a quad rear camera system. For the Signature 27, PhoneArena lists a triple camera, while 91mobiles lists rear camera entries of 50MP, 200MP, and 50MP. Those descriptions are not fully consistent, so check Motorola’s final specification page for your region before relying on the exact setup.

Camera count and megapixel figures do not show which phone takes better photos. The cited material does not provide comparable independent camera tests for these two models, so it cannot support a real-world camera winner.
Battery capacity is not battery life
PhoneArena lists a 5,000mAh battery for Samsung and 6,000mAh for Motorola, but 91mobiles lists 5,200mAh for the Signature 27. Because the Motorola capacity figures conflict, and because capacity alone does not determine endurance, these entries do not establish which phone lasts longer between charges. Comparable independent battery tests are not available in the cited material.

Which phone should you consider?
- If you want a price you can check now: use a current Samsung U.S. listing for the exact storage tier and compare its checkout price, including any trade-in conditions. The cited Motorola launch report did not give a Signature 27 price.
- If screen size and resolution matter most: PhoneArena’s listed figures favor the S26 Ultra on both measures. Confirm regional specifications before purchase.
- If you are focused on refresh rate: PhoneArena lists 165Hz for Motorola and 120Hz for Samsung. This is a spec-sheet difference, not proof of a better viewing experience.
- If camera quality or battery life will decide your purchase: wait for consistent final Motorola specifications and comparable independent tests rather than choosing from camera counts or battery capacity alone.
- If you are comparing value: match storage capacities and markets, then check live prices. The Motorola’s unknown price prevents a reliable value or price-gap verdict.
Check regional availability before buying
TechRadar reported that the Signature 27 was unveiled on September 22, 2026, with global availability expected later that year; its report did not establish current retail availability in every market. PhoneArena also labels the phone announced and gives September 22, 2026 as its announcement date. Availability, regional configurations, and network details should be checked against Motorola’s official market page and a current local retailer listing.
Motorola described the Signature 27, in a statement quoted by TechRadar, as “the most advanced smartphone Motorola has ever created.” That is the company’s promotional claim, not independent evidence that it outperforms the Samsung.
