A deal report published October 6, 2026, put the unlocked 256GB Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra at $979.99 for Prime members on Amazon—$420 below Samsung’s then-current $1,399.99 list price. That is a reported offer, not a confirmed live checkout price. Amazon’s 48-hour Prime Big Deal Days event ran October 6–7, 2026, so check the current listing before relying on the price.
What the reported $420 discount covers
TechTimes reported the $979.99 price for the unlocked 256GB model and described it as 30% below a $1,399.99 list price. Samsung’s US product page lists the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra at $1,399.99. The claimed $420 saving is therefore measured against that current list price—not the phone’s launch price.

TechTimes said the 256GB model launched at $1,299.99. Compared with that original price, $979.99 is about $320 less. The same report noted earlier prices below $979.99, so this promotion should not be described as the phone’s all-time low. TechTimes’ October 6, 2026 report provides the deal figures and launch-price comparison; Samsung’s US product page lists current storage options and prices.
Do you need Prime?
The phone offer was reported as a Prime-member deal. Amazon’s official announcement described Prime Big Deal Days as a 48-hour event on October 6–7, 2026, with event deals for Prime members and offers subject to availability. The event dates do not establish that this particular phone price is still available. Amazon’s event announcement has the official dates and terms.

Keep the storage versions separate
The $979.99 report is for 256GB. A separate Android Authority report put the 512GB model at $1,179.99, or $420 below its $1,599.99 recommended retail price. These are different configurations and reported offers; the 512GB discount should not be used to describe the 256GB deal. Samsung’s US page also lists a 1TB model.
