Amazon’s April promotion
Android Central reported an April 2026 Amazon promotion that reduced the base Galaxy S26 by $100, the S26+ by $175 and the S26 Ultra by $200. During that event, the 256GB Galaxy S26 was $799.99. That was a time-limited promotion, not a permanent U.S. price, so verify the live seller, storage capacity, warranty and return terms before ordering.

Android Central also reported April 2026 Best Buy discounts of up to $300. The base unlocked S26 was listed at $699.99 with activation and $799.99 without activation, compared with a $899.99 list price. The activation requirement is important: the lower figure is not the same type of offer as a straightforward unlocked, no-conditions checkout price.
Samsung trade-in credits
October 2026 deal coverage listed Samsung trade-in savings of up to $340 on the S26, up to $440 on the S26+ and up to $700 on the S26 Ultra. “Up to” is decisive here. Your actual credit depends on the model, condition and other terms Samsung accepts. Treat the credit as a separate calculation from the phone’s cash price until Samsung confirms the value for your device.

Carrier promotions
TechRadar reported an AT&T promotion offering up to $1,200 off with an eligible unlimited line and trade-in. Under that promotion, an S26 Ultra could reach a headline payment of $5 per month. The advertised amount normally arrives through bill credits over the required period, so leaving the carrier, changing to an ineligible plan or failing another condition can reduce the value you receive.

International prices are not directly comparable
TechRadar reported an October 2026 Amazon Australia deal at AU$1,127 for the 256GB Galaxy S26, compared with AU$1,549, a 32% reduction. That figure is in Australian dollars and belongs to the Australian market. It should not be converted and presented as a U.S. deal: taxes, retail pricing, warranty coverage, currency and promotion dates differ by country.

How to compare a Galaxy S26 deal
- Start with the unlocked checkout price. Record the exact storage tier and whether the phone is unlocked. Samsung’s $899.99 256GB and $1,099.99 512GB prices provide the current U.S. reference points.
- Separate guaranteed savings from conditional value. List the cash discount, trade-in credit, gift card and bill credits in separate lines. Do not treat a maximum trade-in or carrier credit as guaranteed until your device and account qualify.
- Calculate the carrier’s full cost. Multiply the device payment and required plan cost by the entire promotion term. Subtract only bill credits you are confident will post, and include any activation or upgrade charges disclosed at checkout.
- Match storage with storage. Compare 256GB with 256GB and 512GB with 512GB. A lower price on one capacity is not a like-for-like discount.
- Verify the seller and after-sale terms. On marketplace listings, confirm who sells the phone, whether it is new and unlocked, the warranty provider and the return window.
- Write down timing. Record the country, currency, date checked and stated promotion end date. Short events can disappear before a purchase is completed.
Is the Galaxy S26 worth buying before Black Friday?
The answer depends on which price you can secure and whether you need the phone now. Samsung’s direct $100 reduction is a transparent discount with no trade-in or plan requirement. A retailer price near $799.99 or lower can be better if the seller, warranty and return policy are acceptable. A carrier offer can produce the lowest apparent monthly payment, but only when you already intend to keep the required plan for the full bill-credit period.
There is evidence that demand has remained strong: Samsung Newsroom said, “Pre-order volume is up nearly 25% across channels — including Samsung.com, major carriers and national retailers — compared to Galaxy S25 series.” The Galaxy S26 series became generally available on March 11, 2026, after pre-orders through Samsung.com, Amazon, Best Buy, Samsung Experience Stores and carriers nationwide. Strong demand does not guarantee that a future Black Friday price will be lower, so compare the total cost and conditions of an offer available today with any discount you are willing to wait for.
