For matching 12GB RAM/256GB models in India, OPPO listed the Reno16 5G at ₹72,999 as of 31 August 2026, while Samsung’s Galaxy S25 store page showed ₹84,999 during a 2026 listing snapshot—a ₹12,000 difference at those dates. The phones make different trade-offs: the S25 is smaller and uses a higher-tier listed processor; the Reno16 has a larger display and battery, three 50MP rear cameras and faster wired charging. These are specification comparisons, not test results.
India price difference: ₹12,000 in the cited listings
The figures below compare the same 12GB/256GB capacity, but they are not a live-price guarantee. OPPO says its Reno16 price was correct as at 31 August 2026; Samsung’s figure is the price displayed on its India store page during a later 2026 research crawl. Promotions, stock and SKU selection can change the amount.

| Difference | ₹12,000 | The Samsung store snapshot was higher by this amount; it is arithmetic on the dated listings, not a universal market gap. |
Samsung Newsroom India announced a ₹80,999 launch price for the S25 12GB/256GB in January 2025. The difference from the later store listing illustrates why price claims need a date. Which phone suits which priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S25 if size and listed processor matter most
At 6.2 inches and 162g, the S25 is the more compact and lighter of these two phones. Its listed Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is a higher-tier processor designation than the Reno16’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. That is a specification distinction, not evidence of a particular benchmark score, gaming frame rate or sustained-performance result.

The India CPH2865 specification lists a 6,700mAh typical battery and charging up to 80W, compared with the S25’s 4,000mAh typical battery and 25W wired recommendation. Battery capacity alone does not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use; no comparable battery-life test is represented here.

Compare camera features, not megapixel totals
OPPO lists three 50MP rear cameras and rear 4K recording up to 60fps. Samsung lists a 50MP main, 10MP 3× telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide, with 8K recording at 30fps. Differences in resolution and listed recording modes do not settle which phone takes better photos or video; that requires comparable image-quality testing.

“Reno16” does not identify identical hardware in every country. This comparison’s OPPO price is for India’s Reno16 5G CPH2865; OPPO says specifications and prices can vary by market. Confirm the model number, network bands, NFC and eSIM support, colors and local availability for your country rather than assuming the India or Sri Lanka specification applies.

Included items can vary by market, so verify the contents for the exact local SKU before purchasing. Samsung’s India product details are on its Galaxy S25 specifications page; OPPO’s model caveat is on its India Reno16 product information.
What the specifications cannot tell you
Manufacturer specifications establish listed hardware and features, but they do not establish real-world battery endurance, camera preference, heat under load or sustained gaming performance. There is no independent head-to-head test represented in these figures. For a purchase decision, weigh the verified local price against the size, charging, camera modes and storage you will actually use.
