What the specification differences mean
Display: sharper resolution or higher refresh rate?
Samsung’s listed 3120 × 1440 resolution is higher than the Signature’s reported 1264 × 2780. Motorola’s reported maximum refresh rate is 165 Hz, compared with Samsung’s 120 Hz. A higher refresh-rate ceiling can allow more frequent screen updates in supported content; it does not, by itself, prove that the display looks better or that every app runs at that rate. Screen size, resolution and refresh figures do not establish brightness, color accuracy or outdoor legibility.

Cameras: a specified telephoto versus four 50 MP sensors
Samsung lists three rear cameras, including a 10 MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom. TechRadar describes four 50 MP cameras on the Signature, but the cited report does not provide a comparable optical-zoom specification. Camera count and megapixel totals cannot determine photo quality; the available figures do not support naming a camera winner.
Battery and charging: capacity is not endurance
The reported Signature battery is 300 mAh larger than Samsung’s 4,900 mAh typical-capacity figure. Motorola’s reported charging ratings are 90 W wired and 50 W wireless. These are capacity and wattage specifications, not measured battery life or charging-time results. Actual endurance and charging behavior depend on factors such as usage, settings, charger compatibility and regional model.

Performance and software support
The cited sources name Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy in Samsung’s announcement and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 in TechRadar’s Signature report. Processor names alone do not establish sustained speed or performance in particular apps. Samsung has announced seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S25 series. The cited material does not establish Motorola’s equivalent support commitment from a primary support document, so check the specific Signature model’s terms before buying.
What is the price difference?

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Galaxy S25+ if these features matter most
- You prioritize the higher listed screen resolution and Samsung’s specified 3× optical telephoto.
- You want Samsung’s Galaxy AI and One UI ecosystem; Samsung’s 2025 announcement describes Galaxy AI as part of the S25 series.
- The announced Galaxy S25-series update policy is important to you.
Consider the Motorola Signature if these features matter most
- You are drawn to its reported 165 Hz display refresh rate, 5,200 mAh battery, or 90 W wired and 50 W wireless charging ratings.
- You prefer the reported four-camera, 50 MP configuration or IP68/IP69 ratings.
- Its live price is lower for a storage-matched model from a seller whose warranty and stock you have confirmed.
These are conditional choices based on published specifications, not test-based verdicts. The available sources do not establish a real-world winner for image quality, sustained performance, endurance or overall value. Check your region’s model configuration, network-band compatibility, warranty and Motorola support terms before ordering.
