Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →The Samsung Galaxy S25 and Motorola Edge 60 Pro suit different priorities: the S25 is a compact flagship with a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy and a dedicated 3× optical telephoto camera; Motorola’s phone has a larger, higher-resolution display and higher stated battery capacity and wired-charging power. For an India price reference, manufacturer storefronts on 2026-10-07 displayed their 12GB/256GB models at ₹84,999 and ₹33,999, respectively—a ₹51,000 difference. Those are dated, changeable listings, not guaranteed checkout prices.
At a glance: Galaxy S25 vs Edge 60 Pro
| Specification | Samsung Galaxy S25 | Motorola Edge 60 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X; adaptive 1–120Hz | 6.7-inch 1.5K (2712 × 1220) curved pOLED; 120Hz, per Motorola’s India specification page |
| Dimensions and weight | 70.5 × 146.9 × 7.2 mm; 162 g | 160.69 × 73.06 × 8.24 mm; 186 g, per Motorola’s UK specification page |

| Rear camera hardware | 50MP main with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom | Triple rear camera; 50MP main listed on the India specification page. That page does not establish a directly comparable lens-by-lens configuration here. |
| Battery and charging | 4,000mAh typical capacity; 25W wired. 25W adapter sold separately. | 6,000mAh stated capacity; 90W TurboPower wired and 15W wireless listed for India |
| RAM and storage | India options: 12GB RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage | India support page lists 8GB or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage; India store also lists 16GB/512GB |

| Protection and connectivity | IP68; Wi-Fi 7 listed, subject to market and network caveats | Motorola’s UK support page lists IP68/IP69, MIL-STD-810H and Wi-Fi 6E; it notes specifications may vary by market |
These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not comparative test results. In particular, a larger battery rating does not establish longer runtime, and camera components alone do not predict photo quality.

What is the price difference?
For an India-only comparison, the storefront snapshots accessed on 2026-10-07 showed matching 12GB/256GB configurations at the following displayed prices:

Those are historical launch prices, not a like-for-like comparison with Motorola’s later storefront offer. Motorola’s India store showed 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB selections in the 2026-10-07 snapshot; listing options and stock can change.
Which phone is easier to carry?
The Galaxy S25 is the smaller option on the cited specifications: its display is 6.2 inches and Samsung lists it at 162 g. Motorola’s India page describes a 6.7-inch screen; its UK page lists dimensions of 160.69 × 73.06 × 8.24 mm and a weight of 186 g. The size and weight comparison uses Motorola’s UK data, so check the exact local model before relying on those measurements.

Choose by how you use a phone, not screen size alone. A larger display may be more comfortable for reading, video and multitasking, while a smaller handset is generally easier to manage one-handed or fit into a pocket. These are practical implications of the listed dimensions, not a claim that either screen is better in image quality.

How do the display, battery and charging compare?
Screen
Samsung lists a 6.2-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive refresh from 1–120Hz. Motorola’s India page lists a 6.7-inch curved pOLED panel at 2712 × 1220 and 120Hz. Motorola provides more screen area and more pixels on paper; the specifications alone do not establish which looks better in person.

Battery and charging
Samsung specifies a 4,000mAh typical battery and 25W wired charging, with the 25W adapter sold separately. Motorola’s India specifications list 6,000mAh, 90W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging. These ratings make the Edge 60 Pro the higher-capacity and higher-wattage option on paper; they do not tell you actual battery life or charging time under your usage and conditions.
What do the processor and cameras tell you?
The Galaxy S25 uses Samsung’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, while Motorola’s India specification page names the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme. That establishes a difference in listed chipset, but does not show which phone is faster in sustained gaming, demanding apps or everyday use. No cited controlled head-to-head test establishes those outcomes.

Samsung’s listed rear-camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide and a 10MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom. Motorola’s India page specifies a triple rear camera and 50MP main camera, but the material cited here does not support a complete lens-by-lens comparison. If optical zoom is important, Samsung’s explicitly listed 3× optical telephoto is a concrete hardware distinction—not proof of better overall photos. Megapixel counts do not determine image quality by themselves.

What should you check about software and durability?
Software and updates
Samsung’s specification release lists Android 15 with One UI 7. Motorola’s India support page currently says Android 16 and promises 3 operating-system upgrades plus 4 years of security maintenance releases. The statements refer to specific manufacturer pages and markets; a published update commitment is not evidence of how quickly updates have reached every device. Check the support page for the exact regional SKU when update timing matters.

Water resistance and connectivity
Samsung lists IP68 and Wi-Fi 7, with market and network caveats for connectivity. Motorola’s UK support page lists IP68/IP69, MIL-STD-810H and Wi-Fi 6E, while warning that specifications may vary by market. These are manufacturer ratings and claims, not guarantees that a phone is damage-proof. Confirm the rating and connectivity bands for the model sold in your country, and do not treat a protection rating as a reason to expose a device to avoidable risk.
Which one should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy S25 if
- You want a smaller handset and prefer the S25’s listed 6.2-inch size and 162 g weight.
- You want the specified Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy configuration.
- A dedicated 3× optical telephoto camera matters to your choice.
Consider the Edge 60 Pro if
- You want a larger 6.7-inch screen and prefer its higher listed resolution.
- You value the higher stated battery capacity and 90W wired-charging specification.
- The Edge 60 Pro’s price and available RAM/storage configuration suit your budget after checking your local listing.
The ₹51,000 India storefront gap observed on 2026-10-07 makes price a major part of this decision, but it does not establish that either phone is better value for every buyer. Match the exact configuration and local price, then prioritize size, camera hardware and the specifications you will actually use.
