The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the better fit if you want an integrated S Pen, a larger display, or a 5x optical telephoto camera. The Galaxy S25+ keeps a large QHD+ 120Hz screen and the same listed processor, while still offering a 3x optical telephoto camera. There is no single verified current price difference: compare the same storage tier, market, seller and phone condition on the same date before deciding.

Samsung’s 2025 announcement lists the screen sizes and typical battery capacities. Display measurements are diagonal full-rectangle figures; rounded corners and the camera opening reduce the viewable area. The US specification sheet lists the same processor and launch-era software and support details for both models. Storage availability can vary by country or carrier. Samsung’s January 2025 announcement and its US business specifications provide the cited launch information.

What the Ultra adds: camera reach and S Pen
Two telephoto options, including 5x optical
The Ultra’s rear array adds a 50MP 5x optical telephoto alongside its 10MP 3x telephoto. The S25+ has a 10MP 3x optical telephoto but no listed 5x telephoto. That gives the Ultra a distinct hardware option for framing distant subjects; it does not mean megapixel counts alone determine which phone takes better photographs. The Ultra also lists a 50MP ultrawide camera, compared with 12MP on the Plus.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBuilt-in stylus
The S25 Ultra includes an integrated S Pen, and Samsung says S Pen functionality is available only on that model. If you regularly write notes by hand or mark up content with a stylus, that difference is more consequential than the modest screen-size gap. The Plus does not include an integrated S Pen.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, ultra‑bright up to ~2600 nits, HDR support, “Vision Booster,” and adaptive color tone — giving vivid colours, great outdoor visibility, and super‑smooth scrolling.
- Powerful internals: it runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm) chip, with 12 GB (or in some markets up to 16 GB) RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage — offering significantly improved CPU/GPU/NPU performance, especially for AI tasks, gaming, and heavy multitasking.
- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
Display, battery and shared platform
Both screens are large and high resolution
Both phones have QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. The Ultra’s diagonal is 6.9 inches and the Plus’s is 6.7 inches, so the Ultra gives you a larger canvas rather than a different listed resolution or refresh-rate class.
Battery figures are close, but not a personal runtime guarantee
Samsung lists typical capacities of 5,000mAh for the Ultra and 4,900mAh for the Plus. Its US comparison page gives video playback estimates of 31 hours and 30 hours respectively, based on Samsung’s internal pre-release testing; the page cautions that actual playback varies with conditions. Those estimates should not be treated as a promise of everyday battery life. Samsung’s comparison page supplies the playback figures and testing qualification.

Processor and launch-era support are shared
The cited US specifications list Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy for both models, along with Android 15, One UI 7, and seven years of OS and security updates. Those are launch-era listings, not a guarantee that every feature, software detail or commercial term remains unchanged over time.
How to compare the price difference
The available Samsung specification and comparison pages do not establish a current transaction price or a reliable dollar gap. Price depends on factors that can change the result, including country, storage tier, unlocked or carrier status, seller, phone condition, trade-in and promotion. A discounted Plus should not be compared with a full-price Ultra and presented as a model-to-model price difference.

For a useful comparison, check both phones on the same day and hold the key terms constant:
- Use the same country and currency, and compare equivalent storage configurations.
- Match seller and sales channel, unlocked or carrier status, and new, refurbished or used condition.
- Separate the listed price from trade-in credits, financing incentives and limited-time promotions.
- Check the package contents and any separately purchased charger if you are calculating ownership cost.
If you report a price gap, identify the market, storage tier, seller or channel, condition and date checked, and state whether discounts, trade-ins or financing are included.

Which Galaxy S25 model should you choose?
Choose the S25 Ultra if
- You specifically want the integrated S Pen.
- You want a 5x optical telephoto option in addition to 3x optical zoom.
- You prefer the larger 6.9-inch display.
- The Ultra’s camera hardware or stylus is worth the actual same-market price premium to you.
Choose the S25+ if
- You want a large QHD+ adaptive 120Hz display without needing the Ultra’s larger screen.
- A 3x optical telephoto camera meets your needs.
- You do not expect to use an integrated stylus or the Ultra’s additional camera hardware.
- Its same-date, equivalent-storage price is more attractive for the features you will use.
Because the cited US specifications list the same processor and similar display class, the Plus can make sense when the Ultra’s distinguishing features are not priorities. The price comparison still has to come from current, like-for-like listings in your market.
