The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the more feature-rich choice on paper, with a QHD+ display, two optical telephoto cameras and S Pen support. The OnePlus Nord 6 emphasizes a 165Hz display, a much larger stated battery and faster charging. They also sit in very different India price tiers: Samsung launched the 256GB S25 Ultra at ₹129,999, while OnePlus described the Nord 6 as part of the ₹35,000–₹40,000 segment at launch. That range is not an exact Nord 6 variant price, so it cannot establish a precise current price gap.

How much more does the Galaxy S25 Ultra cost?
At launch, Samsung priced the 12GB/256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra at ₹129,999. Its other launch prices were ₹141,999 for 12GB/512GB and ₹165,999 for 12GB/1TB. OnePlus’s 7 April 2026 launch statement places the Nord 6 in the ₹35,000–₹40,000 segment, but does not state a price for a specific storage configuration.
Those are unlike references—a precise Samsung price for a named configuration and a broad OnePlus segment range from a different launch year—not today’s matched retail prices. Subtracting them would produce a misleadingly precise price difference. For a useful current comparison, check the live prices for the same storage capacity, note the seller and date, and list bank or exchange offers separately; Samsung’s India purchase page shows selectable variants and changing offers.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, ultra‑bright up to ~2600 nits, HDR support, “Vision Booster,” and adaptive color tone — giving vivid colours, great outdoor visibility, and super‑smooth scrolling.
- Powerful internals: it runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm) chip, with 12 GB (or in some markets up to 16 GB) RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage — offering significantly improved CPU/GPU/NPU performance, especially for AI tasks, gaming, and heavy multitasking.
- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
Where the specifications matter in everyday buying
Display: higher resolution or faster refresh rate?
Samsung lists a QHD+ panel with an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz; OnePlus lists a 1.5K panel that can reach 165Hz. The Nord 6’s higher maximum refresh rate is the more prominent spec for smooth motion, while the S25 Ultra’s higher stated resolution favors pixel density. Neither number alone settles overall display quality, and OnePlus’s 1,800-nit HDR brightness figure is a manufacturer claim, not a direct comparative measurement.
Cameras: more focal lengths versus a simpler setup
The S25 Ultra’s published rear-camera hardware includes separate 3x and 5x optical telephoto cameras alongside its main and ultrawide cameras. That gives it more stated optical focal-length options than the Nord 6’s listed main and ultrawide cameras. OnePlus specifies OIS on the Nord 6’s 50MP main camera. These specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos: megapixel counts and camera lists are not substitutes for comparative image testing.

Battery and charging: capacity is not runtime
OnePlus lists a 9,000mAh battery and 80W charging, compared with Samsung’s 5,000mAh typical battery capacity and wired charging up to 45W. OnePlus also advertises up to 26.9 hours of YouTube playback under its own stated test conditions; that figure is not an independently verified expectation for ordinary use. Actual runtime varies with settings, signal, apps and usage. Samsung says its 45W adapter is sold separately.

The S25 Ultra supports Samsung’s S Pen, a meaningful distinction if you want to write, annotate or sketch on the phone. Samsung’s IP68 claim is tied to its stated freshwater test conditions. OnePlus lists several IP ratings for the Nord 6, with usage and warranty caveats; resistance ratings should not be treated as a promise that a phone is immune to water damage.
