Samsung Galaxy S25 FE vs Motorola Edge 70 Max: Specs and India Price Difference

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is the clearer choice if a published long-term software commitment matters most: Samsung promises up to seven generations of Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, with availability and timing varying by market. Motorola’s Edge 70 Max has the stronger headline hardware figures for battery capacity, display resolution and refresh rate, and wired charging. At the observed India-market prices, the Motorola was also listed for less—but that snapshot can change and is not a like-for-like value verdict unless storage and local offers match.

The figures below come from Samsung’s India product page and Motorola’s UK/Ireland-facing product page. They describe manufacturer specifications, not independent comparative test results.

Which phone has the better display?

Motorola specifies a QHD+ panel with a 144Hz refresh rate; Samsung lists a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. On paper, the Edge 70 Max has both the higher stated resolution and faster refresh rate. Those figures alone do not establish which screen looks better: the cited specifications do not provide an independent, matched assessment of brightness, color, viewing angles or visibility outdoors.

Which phone is likely to last longer on a charge?

The Edge 70 Max has a substantially larger stated battery capacity: 7,100mAh, compared with the S25 FE’s 4,900mAh typical capacity (4,755mAh rated). That gives Motorola the larger capacity figure, but it does not prove longer real-world battery life. No controlled, side-by-side endurance test is available in the cited material, and usage, network conditions, screen settings and software can affect results.

Which one charges faster?

Motorola lists 90W wired charging for the Edge 70 Max, versus up to 45W for the Galaxy S25 FE. The Motorola page also advertises “power for the day in 6 minutes,” but qualifies the claim: it requires a 90W TurboPower charger, sold separately, and is based on specified settings and conditions, with median users potentially gaining up to 12 hours of battery life in six minutes. It should not be read as a guaranteed result for every user.

Wireless charging is another distinction. Motorola lists 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. Samsung lists wireless charging up to 15W and says a compatible case is required for Qi2; check case and charger compatibility rather than assuming any case will support it. These ratings are not a matched test of actual charging times.

Which phone has the longer software-support commitment?

Samsung’s published commitment is more specific: up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S25 FE. Samsung says timing and availability vary by model and market, so the promise is not a guaranteed delivery calendar for every region. The reviewed Motorola product page does not state an equivalent support duration. That absence does not establish that Motorola offers no updates; it means the cited page does not let buyers compare a stated duration.

How do the processors compare?

Samsung specifies the Exynos 2400, while Motorola specifies the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The chip names identify the hardware, but the cited sources do not provide independently verified benchmark, gaming, thermal or sustained-performance comparisons. It would be premature to call either phone the measured performance winner based only on these specifications.

What is the price difference in India?

On 4 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed Amazon India listing prices of ₹58,999 for the Galaxy S25 FE and ₹53,749 for the Edge 70 Max. The Motorola listing was ₹5,250 lower in that snapshot. These are volatile retailer offers, not stable recommended prices or global price guidance; confirm the live price, seller, promotion and storage configuration before comparing value. The reviewed Samsung page is for a 256GB India SKU, while Motorola’s page states storage up to 256GB.

Which phone should you choose?

  • Choose the Galaxy S25 FE if Samsung’s explicit, long-term OS and security-update commitment is your main priority.
  • Consider the Edge 70 Max if its larger stated battery, higher-resolution and faster-refresh display, faster wired charging, or 25W Qi2 magnetic charging better fits your priorities.
  • Compare local offers carefully if price is decisive: the cited India snapshot is time-sensitive, and equal storage and seller terms matter.

Neither manufacturer’s specifications alone establish real-world battery endurance, screen quality or comparative performance. Choose based on the documented features that matter to you, then check the exact regional model and current offer.
