The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and vivo X300 suit different priorities: the S24 Ultra has a larger 6.8-inch display, an integrated S Pen and dedicated 3x and 5x optical telephoto cameras, while the X300 is the smaller 6.31-inch option with a 200 MP main camera and 50 MP front camera. There is no single reliable global price difference: compare current offers for the same country, storage and device condition before deciding.

Specifications are manufacturer-published, not direct evidence of which phone takes better photos, lasts longer on a charge or performs faster in everyday use. Regional variants and availability can differ. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications and vivo’s X300 specifications are useful starting points; check your country’s product page for the exact model.

Which phone is easier to carry and use?
Choose the X300 for the smaller display
vivo lists a 6.31-inch display for the X300, compared with the S24 Ultra’s 6.8-inch QHD+ screen. That makes the X300 the smaller-screen choice on the published figures. Screen size alone does not settle comfort: case thickness, weight and hand fit matter, and Samsung’s launch announcement gives S24 Ultra weight as 232 or 233 g depending on network variant. Check the exact regional model rather than assuming that figure applies everywhere.
Choose the S24 Ultra for a large workspace and stylus
The S24 Ultra’s larger display is paired with S Pen support, making it the clearer fit if you regularly annotate, sketch or write by hand on your phone. The X300’s cited specifications do not list an equivalent integrated stylus feature.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
How do their cameras differ?
Samsung specifies two dedicated optical zoom cameras
The S24 Ultra has distinct 3x and 5x optical telephoto cameras, alongside its 200 MP main and 12 MP ultrawide cameras. That gives shoppers a clearly specified choice of two telephoto focal lengths for framing distant subjects.
vivo emphasizes its high-resolution main and front cameras
vivo lists a 200 MP ZEISS-branded main camera and a 50 MP front camera with autofocus and wide-angle positioning in its product material. Those are useful specification distinctions, but neither megapixel count nor camera branding proves that a phone will produce better photos. Portrait rendering, focus behavior, video and image processing require a direct comparison under relevant conditions; the published specifications alone cannot settle them.

Battery capacity and charging: what the figures do—and do not—tell you
Samsung lists a 5000 mAh typical battery for the S24 Ultra. Its launch specifications say the phone can reach up to 65% in about 30 minutes when using a 45 W adapter and 5 A USB-C cable under Samsung’s specified lab conditions. The adapter was sold separately in the UK launch announcement.
vivo lists a 6040 mAh typical battery for overseas markets except Europe and up to 90 W FlashCharge. Confirm the battery and charging specifications for the precise country’s X300 variant. Capacity and maximum charging rate are not tests of real-world battery life; usage, network conditions, software and charging equipment affect results.
Rank #3
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Software support and durability
Samsung committed seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the S24 series. vivo’s cited X300 specification page lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and IP68/IP69 ratings, but it does not establish a matching update-duration commitment. Do not assume the support periods are equivalent without a specific published commitment for the X300 in your market.
What is the price difference?
There is no globally valid current price gap to quote without matched, current offers. Prices vary by country, storage, seller, stock and whether a device is new or used. Compare the same storage tier and condition in your market; a 256 GB phone should not be compared with a 512 GB offer as if the difference were purely between models.
Rank #4
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
For historical context only, Samsung’s 2024 US launch announcement set the S24 Ultra’s starting price at US$1,299.99. Its UK launch announcement listed original RRPs of £1,249 for 256 GB, £1,349 for 512 GB and £1,549 for 1 TB. These are launch prices, not current prices or a reliable basis for estimating today’s difference against the X300. Samsung’s 2024 global launch announcement and its UK launch announcement document those historical figures.

- Pick the Galaxy S24 Ultra if you want the larger QHD+ display, integrated S Pen, two specifically listed optical telephoto cameras, or Samsung’s stated S24-series update commitment.
- Consider the vivo X300 if a smaller display is more appealing and its 200 MP main camera, 50 MP selfie camera or region-specific battery and charging specifications match your priorities.
- Compare local offers before deciding on value. Check the exact model, storage, condition and included charging accessories, then weigh the price against the features you will actually use.
