The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the stronger fit if you want an integrated S Pen, a higher-resolution display and more optical zoom options. The vivo X200 lists a larger typical battery capacity and faster maximum wired charging on paper, with three 50 MP rear cameras. In a Smartprix India price snapshot updated September 24, 2026, the listed S24 Ultra was ₹46,000 more expensive; that is a dated observed-price gap, not a guaranteed current difference.

These figures describe the products on the linked manufacturer pages, not independent tests. Samsung’s processor and software details below come from a US business specification sheet dated January 17, 2024; regional configurations and software may differ.

What the specification differences mean
Display: more pixels on the Samsung
The S24 Ultra has the higher listed resolution and slightly larger diagonal. Both manufacturer pages list a maximum 120 Hz refresh rate. Brightness descriptions use different product-page wording and test contexts, so they do not establish a directly comparable brightness result.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Cameras: compare lens roles, not megapixel totals
The S24 Ultra’s four-camera array includes separate 3× and 5× optical zoom options, alongside 2× and 10× optical-quality zoom and digital zoom up to 100×. vivo lists three 50 MP rear cameras, including a 3× optical telephoto and a wide-angle camera with autofocus. These configurations tell you what focal-length options are specified; they do not show which phone takes better photos. No comparable independent camera test is established here.
S Pen: a distinct Samsung feature
Samsung explicitly lists S Pen support. It is a practical distinction if you want to handwrite notes, annotate or navigate with a pen. The inspected vivo X200 specification page does not list pen support.
Rank #2
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Battery and charging: vivo leads on listed figures
vivo India lists a 5800 mAh typical battery and up to 90W charging. Samsung’s US business sheet lists a 5000 mAh typical battery. Those figures favor the X200 on rated capacity and maximum charging power, but they do not establish longer real-world battery life or a particular charging time. Usage, network conditions, software and charging conditions affect results.

Performance and software: specifications are not a speed test
The pages identify different chipsets and launch-era software versions, but they are not a current benchmark or a software-support comparison. Do not infer which phone is faster from processor names, clock speeds or those version snapshots alone. Check the precise regional model and current software-support terms before buying if they are decisive for you.
Rank #3
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
India price difference: ₹46,000 in a dated snapshot
Smartprix reported observed lowest prices of ₹1,04,999 for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and ₹58,999 for the vivo X200. The arithmetic difference is ₹46,000. Smartprix says the product details were last updated September 24, 2026; these are comparison-site observations, not official list prices or guaranteed live offers. The listed storage configurations may not match.
Before treating the gap as a buying decision, compare the same storage tier and check the seller, warranty, stock and checkout price in India. Prices can change, and a lower observed price does not establish which phone offers better value for your needs. See Smartprix’s comparison and price listing.
Rank #4
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Water resistance: read the limits of the ratings
Samsung says the S24 Ultra’s IP68 rating is based on laboratory submersion in freshwater up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes. It advises against beach or pool use and says resistance can diminish with normal wear. vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the X200 and warns that resistance is not permanent and may reduce with daily use. Neither rating makes a phone waterproof or damage-proof; follow the relevant manufacturer’s care guidance.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S24 Ultra if an integrated S Pen, higher listed screen resolution or separate 3× and 5× optical zoom options matter most to you.
- Choose the vivo X200 if its listed 5800 mAh typical capacity, up-to-90W charging, 120 Hz AMOLED display and three 50 MP rear cameras suit your priorities—and its current price for your chosen variant is lower.
- Compare both in person or through current, reliable tests if photo quality, battery endurance or speed is the deciding factor. The specifications and price listing here do not settle those performance questions.
