Specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos, lasts longer in everyday use or runs faster. Which phone’s display and performance specifications matter more?
Display size and refresh rate
The V60 has a slightly larger listed display: 6.77 inches compared with the S24 FE’s 6.7 inches. Both are specified for a 120Hz refresh rate, although Samsung describes its rate as adaptive. These measurements alone do not establish which screen looks better; the published specifications do not provide a direct quality comparison.

Chipset
Samsung’s India product page names the S24 FE chipset as Exynos 2400e; Samsung’s launch announcement describes it as part of the Exynos 2400 series. The V60 uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Without comparable benchmark results or controlled testing, these names are not enough to declare one phone faster. vivo’s performance comparisons against the V50 are not a head-to-head comparison with the S24 FE.
How do the cameras differ?
Rear cameras
The S24 FE lists a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. OIS is specified for its wide and telephoto cameras. The V60 lists 50MP OIS main and telephoto cameras plus an 8MP ultrawide. The standout distinction is the S24 FE’s explicitly stated 3x optical zoom; the V60 specifies a higher megapixel count for its telephoto camera. Megapixels and lens specifications do not, by themselves, show which phone produces better images.
Rank #2
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Selfies and video
vivo specifies a 50MP autofocus front camera and says both the front and rear cameras can record 4K. Samsung lists a 10MP front camera. Those are paper specifications, not a comparative assessment of detail, focus, stabilization or video quality.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Does the V60’s battery specification mean longer battery life?
The V60’s typical battery capacity is 6,500mAh, compared with 4,700mAh typical for the S24 FE. Samsung also lists a 4,565mAh rated minimum; vivo lists 6,330mAh as the V60’s rated capacity. The V60 therefore has the larger stated capacity, but capacity alone is not a real-world battery-life test. Screen settings, network conditions, apps and other usage affect runtime.
Rank #3
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
vivo specifies 90W FlashCharge for the V60. The cited Samsung sources do not provide an equivalent charging-rate figure, so this comparison cannot establish a like-for-like charging-time difference.
What do the water-resistance and software-support claims establish?
Durability
vivo lists IP68 and IP69 for the V60, with qualifications tied to its stated laboratory conditions. vivo cautions that resistance can decrease and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. The cited Samsung launch passage does not establish an IP rating for the S24 FE, so it cannot support an IP-rating comparison between these phones.
Software updates
Samsung says the S24 FE will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. That is Samsung’s stated commitment for the phone, rather than an independent assessment of update delivery. The official vivo pages reviewed do not establish a comparable V60 support-duration promise; that gap should not be read as proof that the V60 receives no updates.
What is the price difference in India?
The available figures are not a same-day, same-retailer comparison. Samsung’s India announcement dated 30 September 2024 listed launch MOPs of ₹59,999 for the 8GB/128GB S24 FE and ₹65,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. These are historical launch prices, not current retail offers.
The vivo India online shop listing observed for this comparison showed ₹41,999 for the 8GB/128GB V60. A separate official shop result showed ₹43,999 for the 8GB/256GB model. The selected product was shown as unavailable in the shop listing represented at the time, and prices and stock may change. The listings do not establish current offers or a valid price difference against Samsung’s historical launch MOPs.
To compare what you would pay, check the same retailer on the same date and match storage capacity. Include any bank, exchange or other conditional discount only if you qualify, and confirm that both variants are in stock. Samsung’s launch announcement and the vivo India V60 shop listing are reference points, not a substitute for checking current checkout prices.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the vivo V60 if its larger stated battery, 90W charging, 50MP autofocus selfie camera, 50MP telephoto specification or published IP68/IP69 ratings fit your priorities. These specifications do not guarantee a particular battery runtime, image quality or resistance outcome.
- Consider the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE if a specified 3x optical telephoto or Samsung’s stated seven-generations/seven-years software commitment matters most to you.
- Compare carefully before buying if your decision depends on speed, camera results, battery endurance or price. The published specifications do not settle the first three, and the available price figures are not current, equivalent offers.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
