The Galaxy S24 FE and TECNO POVA 8 Pro 5G emphasize different things: Samsung specifies a 3x optical telephoto camera and a seven-year software-support commitment, while TECNO lists a higher-refresh display, larger battery capacity, and faster wired charging. An India comparison page showed the TECNO listing ₹10,000 higher, but that snapshot used different retailers and does not establish a like-for-like price gap.

Which phone has the better camera?
The published camera setup gives the Galaxy S24 FE more stated focal-length versatility: it includes a dedicated 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, alongside a 50MP stabilized main camera and 12MP ultra-wide. TECNO lists a 50MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, but no telephoto camera on its specifications page.

That makes Samsung the more clearly specified option if you want a dedicated optical zoom lens. It does not prove that Samsung takes better photos overall: the listed megapixels and lenses do not substitute for matched image-quality testing. TECNO lists a higher-resolution 13MP front camera than Samsung’s 10MP, but resolution alone cannot establish selfie quality.

Which has the better display?
TECNO lists the larger display at 6.78 inches, compared with Samsung’s 6.7 inches, and supports refresh-rate options up to 144Hz rather than Samsung’s adaptive 120Hz maximum. Its listed resolution, 2644 × 1208, is also higher than Samsung’s 2340 × 1080. Samsung identifies its panel as Dynamic AMOLED 2X; TECNO calls its HyperLux AMOLED.
On stated size, resolution, and maximum refresh rate, TECNO leads. Those figures do not tell you which screen is brighter, more accurately calibrated, or more pleasing to view; the panel names do not settle those questions either.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers mean
TECNO lists a 6500mAh battery and 45W wired charging. Samsung lists a 4700mAh battery and wired charging up to 25W; Samsung says the 25W adapter is sold separately. TECNO therefore has the larger stated capacity and higher rated wired charging power.

TECNO also says its laboratory tests found at least 80% battery capacity remaining after 2,000 complete charge cycles, describing that as approximately six years in its stated scenario. This is a manufacturer lab claim, not an independent test; TECNO notes that results vary with simulated conditions and use. See its product page for the qualification.

Software support and gaming details
Samsung’s 2024 announcement promises seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S24 FE. TECNO identifies the POVA 8 Pro 5G as running HiOS 16 based on Android 16, but the reviewed official specifications page does not state a comparable support duration. That means Samsung has the clearer documented long-term update commitment in these cited materials; it does not establish that TECNO provides no updates.
TECNO’s product page said the PUBG MOBILE 144FPS Ultra Extreme option was expected through a future major update by October 2026, subject to that update’s timing and availability. The cited page does not confirm that the rollout occurred, so treat this as a planned feature rather than a confirmed current capability.
Rank #4
The processor listings identify an Exynos 2400e in Samsung and a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G in TECNO, both specified at 4nm. They do not by themselves establish which phone performs better in games or other workloads; no comparable independent benchmark result is established here.
What is the price difference?
A 91mobiles India comparison page displayed ₹39,999 for the Galaxy S24 FE at Amazon and ₹49,999 for the POVA 8 Pro 5G at Flipkart when accessed in 2026. Subtracting those displayed prices gives a ₹10,000 difference, with TECNO’s listing higher. This is a page snapshot, not a like-for-like price comparison: the listings are from different retailers, and the cited excerpt does not confirm matching storage variants. The page’s publication date is not stated.

Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Galaxy S24 FE for the more versatile listed rear-camera setup if a dedicated 3x optical telephoto lens is important, or if you prioritize Samsung’s explicitly stated seven-year update commitment.
- Consider the POVA 8 Pro 5G for its published hardware specifications if a 144Hz maximum refresh rate, 6500mAh stated battery, or 45W wired charging matters most to you.
- Check current local pricing before deciding. The India snapshot is based on different retailers and does not establish matching storage configurations, while the spec sheets do not settle overall camera quality, endurance, or performance.
