The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and OPPO Reno14 5G suit different priorities: OPPO lists a larger battery, 80W wired charging and a higher-resolution 3.5x optical telephoto camera, while Samsung offers a slightly larger display, Galaxy AI features and a 3x optical telephoto camera. For buyers in India, there is no verified same-day price comparison here for matching storage variants, so a current price gap should not be inferred from launch prices.
At a glance: which phone fits your priorities?
| What matters most | Specification edge | What that does—and does not—tell you |
|---|---|---|
| Battery capacity and wired charging | OPPO Reno14 5G | OPPO lists a 6,000mAh typical battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging; capacity and rated charging do not establish real-world battery life or charge time. |
| Optical telephoto hardware | OPPO Reno14 5G | Its listed camera is 50MP with 3.5x optical zoom and 2-axis OIS. That does not prove better photos. |
| Display size | Samsung Galaxy S24 FE | Samsung specifies 6.7 inches versus OPPO’s 6.59 inches. Measurement conventions and rounded corners affect viewable area. |
| AI and security positioning | Samsung Galaxy S24 FE | Samsung positions the phone with Galaxy AI and Knox. The available specifications do not establish that one phone’s software is better for every buyer. |
Specifications below are manufacturer figures for the India-market models. They describe listed hardware and features, not independent camera, battery or performance test results.

How do the displays compare?
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 60Hz/120Hz refresh and Vision Booster. OPPO lists a 16.74cm (6.59-inch) flexible AMOLED display at 1256 × 2760 pixels, with up to 120Hz refresh, 60Hz/90Hz/120Hz modes, 10-bit color and Gorilla Glass 7i.
The Samsung is slightly larger by the manufacturers’ stated diagonal measurements. That difference does not directly describe usable screen area: diagonal conventions and rounded corners affect the viewable area. OPPO’s listed resolution is more specific, while Samsung describes its screen as FHD+.

What camera hardware does each phone have?
| Camera | Samsung Galaxy S24 FE | OPPO Reno14 5G |
|---|---|---|
| Main | 50MP wide, with OIS | 50MP wide, with 2-axis OIS |
| Ultrawide | 12MP | 8MP |
| Telephoto | 8MP, 3x optical zoom, with OIS | 50MP, 3.5x optical zoom, with 2-axis OIS |
| Front | 10MP | 50MP autofocus |
OPPO also advertises up to 120x digital zoom. Digital zoom is not the same as optical zoom, and the figure alone does not indicate how usable a zoomed-in image will be. Megapixel counts, zoom ratios and stabilization details describe hardware; they do not establish which phone takes better pictures. That depends on image processing and shooting conditions, and no comparable independent head-to-head camera test is established here.
Which has the larger battery, and how fast do they charge?
OPPO lists a 6,000mAh typical battery and 5,840mAh rated capacity for the Reno14 5G, alongside 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging. Samsung lists a 4,700mAh typical battery for the Galaxy S24 FE.
These are manufacturer capacity and charging specifications, not a comparison of screen-on time or charge duration. Actual endurance and charging depend on usage and conditions; the listed capacity alone cannot determine which phone lasts longer in a particular buyer’s hands.

- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
Are the processors and software different?
Samsung’s India announcement specifies the Exynos 2400e processor made on a 4nm process. OPPO’s India specifications list the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, also on a 4nm process. Those platform names and process figures do not establish a performance winner; no comparable independent benchmark is available here.
Samsung highlights Galaxy AI and Knox security. Samsung Electronics corporate EVP and head of Smartphone Research and Development team SeaYoung Lee said, “Galaxy AI opens so many new experiences for users, helping them communicate, and be more creative and productive.” This is Samsung’s positioning, not an independent assessment.
OPPO lists ColorOS and cautions that AI feature availability can vary by region and software version; some features may require an account or internet connection. Check the precise software and AI features available on the India-market model before buying.

What storage options are listed?
Samsung lists 128GB, 256GB and 512GB configurations and notes that availability can vary by region. OPPO India lists these Reno14 5G configurations:
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage
OPPO notes that color availability varies by configuration. Check the exact local model and storage before comparing prices; the listed lineups do not have a matching 128GB option.

A current price difference cannot be stated reliably without same-day prices for matching storage variants and the same purchase conditions. The available current listing evidence is for OPPO alone; it does not establish a current Samsung India price.
For context only, OPPO India’s July 3, 2025 launch release listed the Reno14 5G at ₹37,999 for 8GB+128GB, ₹39,999 for 12GB+256GB and ₹42,999 for 12GB+512GB, with sales beginning July 8, 2025. These are historical launch prices. The launch configurations also differ from the configurations on OPPO’s current specifications page.
When accessed on October 7, 2026, OPPO India’s store event page displayed a starting listing of ₹37,999 and a struck-through ₹42,999 reference price, alongside discounts and exchange bonuses. This is a volatile listing, not a guaranteed checkout price. Confirm the variant, stock, final price and eligibility for any offer at checkout.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsTo make a useful comparison, check both phones on the same day and match storage, condition (new, refurbished or used) and purchase terms. Do not subtract a historical OPPO launch price from a current Samsung listing and treat the result as today’s price gap.
What should buyers make of the durability claims?
OPPO’s product page lists IP68/IP69 and an underwater photography mode; its July 2025 launch release lists IP66, IP68 and IP69 certifications for the Reno14 series. The Samsung India announcement cited here does not establish an S24 FE protection rating, so it is not enough to make a verified side-by-side resistance comparison.
A water-resistance rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof, and it does not establish that accidental liquid damage is covered by warranty. Check the local product documentation and warranty terms for the device you intend to buy.
Quick Recap
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Reno14 5G if its listed 6,000mAh typical battery, 80W wired charging, 50MP 3.5x optical telephoto camera or 50MP autofocus front camera better matches your priorities. Treat these as specification advantages, not guaranteed outcomes in battery life or photo quality.
- Choose the Galaxy S24 FE if you prefer its slightly larger stated display, Samsung’s Galaxy AI and Knox positioning, or its listed camera setup with a 12MP ultrawide and 3x optical telephoto.
- Compare prices before deciding if cost is the deciding factor: use current India listings for the storage variants you would actually buy, and compare final prices under the same conditions.
