The Galaxy S24 FE has a well-documented specification sheet and a U.S. launch price of $649.99 from September 2024. The Moto G Max 5G is listed by Motorola Brazil, but available listings describe different market variants. There is no dependable, like-for-like price difference to quote without a country, exact configuration, seller and check date.
Which versions are being compared?
Samsung announced the Galaxy S24 FE in the United States on September 26, 2024. Motorola Brazil’s catalog lists a Moto g Max 5G, while a carrier in Argentina and a secondary database listing in India provide additional regional specifications. Those listings do not establish one universal Moto G Max configuration.

The differences matter: reported screen sizes, charging speeds and some other details vary by market. Treat the Moto figures below as attributed listings, not as specifications guaranteed for every unit carrying that name. Before buying, check the manufacturer or seller page for the exact SKU offered in your country.

What the display and camera figures do—and do not—tell you
Display
The Samsung display specification is consistent in its announcement: a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an adaptive 60/120 Hz refresh rate. Its 6.5-inch note refers to the viewable diagonal after accounting for rounded corners. Moto G Max listings point to AMOLED-family panels too, but the reported size and resolution vary by market. Check the exact local model rather than assuming one listing describes all units.

Cameras
The S24 FE’s listed rear cameras cover three distinct roles: a stabilized 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide and a stabilized 8 MP telephoto with 3× optical zoom. The Moto listings emphasize a 200 MP main camera, alongside an 8 MP rear camera in the Brazilian carrier listing. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better pictures; the available material does not provide a controlled head-to-head camera test.
Battery capacity and charging claims
Samsung describes the S24 FE battery as 4,700 mAh typical capacity and 4,565 mAh rated minimum. Its “around 50% in 30 minutes” claim is qualified: Samsung says it used a 25 W adapter and 3A USB-C cable, with the screen off, in a lab test performed with a pre-release Galaxy S23 Ultra. The adapter is sold separately. That is a charging test, not a comparative battery-life result for these two phones.
Rank #2
- The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.
The cited Moto listings report 5,200 mAh, with 30 W charging in the Brazilian carrier listing and 33 W in Gadgets360’s India entry. Capacity and charging wattage are specifications, not independent evidence of real-world endurance or charging time. Use them to frame expectations, not to declare a battery-life winner.

Samsung’s IP68 statement includes a specific fresh-water test condition and a warning that water resistance may diminish over time. It is not a guarantee against all liquid exposure or damage. The Moto durability claims also differ by listing: a Brazilian carrier gives IP68/IP69 and MIL-810H, while the India database entry gives IP69. Confirm the rating attached to the exact regional SKU, and do not treat any rating as immunity from damage.

Samsung’s launch announcement promised seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, with availability and timing varying by model and market. Motorola Brazil’s catalog promotes Android 16, but that version label alone does not establish how long a particular Moto G Max will receive updates. Buyers who keep phones for years should verify the support terms for their local device.

A single current price gap cannot be calculated responsibly from the cited figures because they refer to different countries, dates and sources. Samsung announced a U.S. starting price of $649.99 on September 26, 2024. Gadgets360 listed the Moto G Max at ₹27,999 in India as of October 6, 2026. A 91mobiles comparison result displayed ₹27,999 for the Moto and ₹39,999 for the S24 FE, but that snapshot does not verify live stock or matched storage configurations.
Rank #4
The Argentine carrier’s Moto promotion ended September 14, 2026, so it is not a current offer. Motorola Brazil’s catalog confirms the model name, but its surfaced zero-value price is not evidence that the phone is free or has a zero price.
For a useful local comparison, check both phones in the same country and currency, with the same storage class where possible, and record the seller and date. Do not subtract a U.S. launch price from an Indian listing or treat an undated comparison result as a live market price.
Quick Recap
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Galaxy S24 FE if you want Samsung’s documented 3× optical telephoto camera, a clearly stated adaptive 120 Hz AMOLED display, or the update commitment Samsung announced at launch.
- Consider the Moto G Max 5G if the exact regional version available to you has the configuration and local price you want. Confirm its screen, charging, camera, durability and software details on that specific SKU’s listing.
- Compare local value before deciding. The available prices do not establish a current, like-for-like winner, and neither megapixel count nor battery capacity substitutes for controlled performance or endurance testing.
