Samsung Galaxy S24 5G vs Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G: Specs and Price Difference

The Galaxy S24 is the compact phone; the Motorola model is the big-battery, fast-charging one. Listings put the Motorola at 6.8 inches, 6500 mAh and 90 W, against 6.2 inches, 4000 mAh and 25 W for Samsung. The catch is the name. Motorola’s own support page documents the “moto edge 70 pro”, not a “Pro Plus”, while comparison sites use “Edge 70 Pro Plus” or “Edge 70 Pro +”. Treat the Motorola column below as likely but not fully confirmed until you check the exact model on the box or retailer listing.

Specs side by side

Figures for the Galaxy S24 and the “Pro +” come from the 91mobiles comparison page and a Gadgets Now comparison page, both third-party listings. The Motorola official column comes from Motorola Support’s page for the “moto edge 70 pro”. I could not link those pages’ exact addresses, so treat the attributions as the publishers’ own claims.

Is the Motorola really a “Pro Plus”?

Motorola’s official page covers the Edge 70 Pro only. Its specs may match what comparison sites attribute to the “Plus”, but that is not proven. Before buying, check the exact name and regional model number on the retailer page, and compare the battery, charging and RAM lines against what you see above. If they differ, the table does not apply.

#1 Best Overall
Samsung Galaxy S24 5G, US Version, 128GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).

Price difference

All prices found were Indian rupee snapshots, and they disagree:

Source Galaxy S24 Motorola
91mobiles ₹64,990 ₹47,999
Gadgets Now ₹59,999 ₹48,945

On both pages the Motorola is cheaper, by roughly ₹11,000 to ₹17,000. These are not current offers, and they do not apply outside India. Storage variant, bank discounts and stock all change the real figure, so check a live retailer listing in your market. The Galaxy S24 is also an older phone, so its street price may sit below its listed price.

Rank #2
Samsung Galaxy S24+ Plus 5G, US Version, 256GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.

Who should pick which

Choose the Galaxy S24 if

  • You want a compact 6.2-inch phone that is easy to use one-handed.
  • Long software support matters. Seven years is the figure on comparison pages; confirm it with Samsung for your regional model.

Choose the Motorola if

  • Battery life and fast charging matter most: 6500 mAh and 90 W against 4000 mAh and 25 W.
  • You prefer a bigger screen and more RAM, and you pay less on the listings above.
  • Three OS upgrades is enough for how long you keep a phone.

Check before deciding

  • Camera quality from independent reviews, since specification sheets do not settle it.
  • 5G band support for your carrier on the exact regional model.
  • The confirmed Motorola model name, as explained above.

I would not name an overall winner without knowing your priority. Size and update length favour Samsung. Battery, charging, screen size and listed price favour Motorola.
