The Samsung Galaxy S24 5G vs iQOO 15R choice comes down to priorities: the S24 is the smaller phone and has a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, while the iQOO 15R offers a larger, higher-refresh display, a much larger listed battery and faster specified charging. The iQOO India E-Store showed ₹53,999 for its 8GB+256GB version when accessed in 2026; treat that as a changeable store-page price, not a guaranteed offer or a direct comparison with every S24 listing. Here are the differences that matter when deciding which one you should buy.

Which one should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy S24 if compactness and optical zoom matter most
At 167g and 147.0mm tall, the S24 is the smaller and lighter option on the listed measurements. Its rear-camera setup also includes a dedicated telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. That gives it a camera option the iQOO 15R’s published rear-camera list does not show. Specifications alone cannot establish which phone takes better photos overall.

Choose the iQOO 15R if you want a larger screen and bigger battery specification
The iQOO has the larger listed display and supports up to 144Hz, compared with the S24’s 120Hz. Its typical battery capacity is 7,600mAh versus 4,000mAh for the S24, and its listed charging rate is 100W. These are manufacturer specifications, not a guarantee of a particular runtime or charging time in everyday use.

Compare the exact storage tier and seller before deciding on price
The iQOO India E-Store displayed ₹53,999 for the selected 8GB+256GB variant when accessed in 2026, alongside a listed ₹69,999 MRP. This is a volatile store-page snapshot: price, stock and offers can change. The Samsung India specification page does not establish a current retail price, and a third-party comparison-page price is not necessarily for the same storage tier, seller or offer. Check current listings for the exact configuration and seller rather than treating the figures as a like-for-like price gap.
Performance: different platforms, not a guaranteed winner
The Samsung India page lists CPU design and speeds, while the comparison reference identifies the S24 platform as Exynos 2400. iQOO lists Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Those platform names and manufacturer specifications do not by themselves prove which phone will feel faster in a particular app, game or workload.

91mobiles reported Geekbench multi-core scores of 6,557 for the Galaxy S24 and 9,090 for the iQOO 15R on its comparison page accessed in 2026. These are publisher-reported results; the retrieved information does not establish that protocol, software state and device configuration were matched. Use them as a dated reference, not as a guaranteed measure of the performance you will see.
Camera differences: telephoto versus a simpler listed rear setup
The S24’s 50MP main, 10MP 3x optical telephoto and 12MP camera provide a listed dedicated telephoto option. iQOO specifies a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no telephoto in its published rear-camera list. The front-camera resolutions are 12MP with autofocus on Samsung’s listing and 32MP on iQOO’s. Megapixel counts and lens lists do not settle image quality; the cited pages do not provide a controlled photo comparison.

Battery life and charging: keep capacity separate from test results
Samsung lists a 4,000mAh typical battery and claims up to 28 hours of video playback for the S24. iQOO lists a 7,600mAh typical battery and 100W charging for the 15R. The Samsung India specification page cited here does not state a wired charging wattage, so there is no comparable charging-rate figure from that page.
91mobiles reported battery-test durations of 14 hours 43 minutes for the S24 and 18 hours 23 minutes for the iQOO 15R on its comparison page accessed in 2026. The test method is not documented in the material available here, so these results should not be treated as universally reproducible battery life or a promise of screen-on time.

Software support and connectivity considerations
91mobiles’ comparison page accessed in 2026 reports seven years of OS and security updates for the S24, and four years of OS updates plus six years of security updates for the iQOO 15R. The cited manufacturer product pages do not provide the same detailed policy wording or support start and end dates, so verify each brand’s current terms before making update longevity decisive.

These labels may matter if you rely on a particular accessory, network or transfer workflow, but they are not a test of actual connection performance.

What is included in the India package?
Samsung says the travel adapter is not included with the Galaxy S24 and notes that in-box items can vary by country or region. iQOO lists a charger, cable, case, eject tool and documents in the India box contents. Check the specific seller’s package details before purchase; these statements apply to the cited India-market information, not every region.
